Solenn Heussaff, Georgina Wilson, and BJ Pascual are ecstatic to experience everyday with Samsung’s newest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and S9+! “Photography is an integral part of my artistic process. The pictures I take are not just visual references-- they allow me to relive the emotions I felt at that moment encapsulated in the photo,” shares Solenn.
The Filipina-French’s previous exhibits have been inspired by human faces and expressions. “I went around the Philippines, taking photos of the people I met every day. It was an enriching and exciting experience -- you never know when beauty or inspiration may strike,” says the painter. “You always have to be prepared to take it all in. However, we can only store a limited amount of information in our minds, and we tend to forget or overlook certain details, too.”
With the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, Solenn believes that she can flawlessly capture inspiration, no matter when or where it appears. “I like how the camera’s Dual Aperture (F1.5 – F2.4) feature allows the phone to adjust effortlessly to super low or bright light conditions. It adapts like the human eye! As a result, you’ll always get a gorgeous and detailed photo, no matter what your surroundings are.”
“I’m also excited to see expressions captured in slow-motion,” says Solenn. “I’m thinking that it can help me translate the subtleties of the human face and our emotions into my works.”
Solenn is also intrigued by Bixby’s abilities. Samsung’s intelligence platform can detect and analyze what your camera is pointing at and generate information directly on top of the image. “That’s a great way to learn more about the places and people you meet. The information I get can help me add more depth and context to my paintings,” shares the artist.
Georgina’s family life, reimagined
Georgina Wilson has been busier than ever, and she’s loving every little moment of it. The model-entrepreneur balances her time between her successful fashion business ventures and the two most important men in her life: Arthur and Archie Burnand.
“My husband and son motivate me to keep on going, no matter how hectic work and family life gets,” shares Georgina. “Arthur is also busy working abroad, so we schedule and maximize our bonding moments, especially with Archie.”
The charming couple’s first-born just turned a year old last December. “Archie grows up so fast! It’s like I was just holding him for the first time yesterday, and now he’s a bouncing ball of energy,” says Georgina. “I don’t want to miss out on any of his significant growth milestones.”
The Filipina-British stunner is looking forward to capturing little Archie’s cuteness and spontaneity with the Galaxy S9 and S9+. Outsmarting the human eye, the smartphone’s camera can take super slow-mo shots that are four times slower than usual, capturing everything in detail and making everyday moments epic. “Archie’s such a joy to watch and be around. With the Super-Slow Mo, I can record his awesome moments in great detail.” Complemented with Automatic Motion Detection, Georgina can’t just simply wait for Archie to make a move, and the phone will automatically start recording.
Georgina is also excited for the AR Emoji, which allows you to create a virtual mini-me that copies your features and expressions accurately. “It’s a creative and exciting way to bond with your loved ones. I’ll make sure to create one for Arthur. I can’t wait to see how we look like!” she shares.

BJ Pascual could not contain his excitement when he learned more about the S9 and S9+’s lenses. “It’s not everyday that you see Dual Aperture in one smartphone camera. But a Wide-Angle and Telephoto lens for the Galaxy S9+? Now that definitely caught my eye!”
The photographer is vocal about how he’s taken gorgeous shots with his Galaxy S8. “I’ve been really happy with my smartphone photos so far, but Samsung just keeps on surprising me. I cannot wait to experiment with the Galaxy S9 and S9+’s reimagined camera.”
As the name suggests, wide-angle lenses allow users to capture expansive subjects, such as open plains or expansive buildings. Telephoto lens, on the other hand, help you capture close portraits or tight shots even at a distance. “Seeing these features on a device that fits at the palm of your hand is a dream come true, really,” BJ shares. “I can’t wait to take even better photos with my phone!”
The young creative also notes that integrating these concepts in a smartphone camera can help more people understand the basics of a camera better. “You don’t really use the words ‘aperture’ or ‘telephoto lens’ on a daily basis, and explaining how a camera works can get quite confusing for first-timers,” admits BJ. “But if you show them how certain settings work via taking photos, these concepts become easier to understand. And with the Galaxy S9 and S9+, it’s just as simple as tapping a button.”

So Much Attitude
One time, Office Worker (OW) decided to spend a few minutes of her time to browse at a shop in a nearby mall. OW noticed NT was with her friends, but she did not mind the celebrity as she had her own goal at the shop. As OW continued to check the racks, NT came nearer. NT addressed her with ‘Miss’ and told her that the temperature was too hot to be wearing a jacket. OW was surprised that NT would do that to a total stranger like her. She came from her office and the jacket was part of her usual attire. The incident did not end there. OW looked at the other items, but then she overheard NT telling her friends in stereotypical kolehiyala accent, that it was too hot in the shop. The voice of NT was loud enough to attract attention. OW let the incident go at that time, as she did not want to create any commotion.
Nonetheless, no one is surprised at the story, as these days, eyewitnesses are sharing their encounters with NT. Meanwhile, supporters of NT are floating stories that a demolition job might be in the works given all the flak NT has been receiving. The problem with this theory is that ordinary people are sharing their uneasy experiences with NT. Such stories might slow down the momentum of her career, as viewers are sensitive to the behavior of celebrities. Bad publicity could result from stories depicting the bad attitude of NT toward others. Depending on her value in the network, damage control can be programmed and started.

Aiza Seguerra has resigned as National Youth Commission chairperson.
According to two sources, Seguerra formally resigned on March 5 but his resignation will be effective a month later or on April 5.
A Malacañang source said, however, that President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to accept Seguerra's resignation. They said that Seguerra stated "personal reasons" as explanation for his resignation.
There was an indication of Seguerra's final decision in his Facebook post on March 5 when he posted the status, "It is done." The post received comments from former and present government officials who expressed support for Seguerra.
According to a source, Seguerra had been planning to resign for some time now. The singer-turned-government-official had supposedly not been happy with the bureaucracy and was frustrated with its slow pace.
President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Seguerra as NYC chairperson in August 2016. He has thus served in the post for over a year and a half. Duterte had also appointed Seguerra's partner, Liza Diño, as Film Development Council of the Philippines chairperson.
Seguerra and Diño had actively campaigned for Duterte's presidential candidacy during the 2016 elections. They often entertained the crowd during campaign sorties.
As NYC chairperson, Seguerra championed HIV/AIDs awareness and youth representation in government through the embattled Sangguniang Kabataan.
The NYC also opposed the postponement of barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections scheduled this May. – Rappler.com
