A Sure Cancellation?
Over the past years, a movie with EA and CC has been always been broached, but so many excuses got in the way. First, logistics was always an issue. For several years, both had lived quite far from each other, and thus, distance was not an issue that was going to be compromised. Second, while EA maintained his dashing looks, as he aged, it was a different struggle for CC. As the cameras never lie, they both are demanded to register well onscreen. Third, EA and CC seemed to have pursuits that could never bring them as nearly as possible to each other. Fourth, no one seems to have the plan to bring them together. Although EA did a cameo in a movie of CC, the scene did not bring them together at all.
When everyone has finally given up, CC broke the news with her announcement. Naturally, fans anticipated the possible storyline and the cynics doubted that EA and CC could even pull off a box-office hit at this point in their careers. Hence, rumors of including a hot young loveteam emerged, but the fans wanted a project that would give much exposure to EA and CC.
However, recent developments indicate that cynics might have reason to celebrate. With the alleged cancelation of the said project, comments immediately targeted EA. EA was accused of demanding almost triple of his usual asking price. Corollary to this issue is that EA wanted to be paid equal the fee of CC, or even slightly higher. EA justified his asking price by saying that his personal life will be exploited in promoting the movie. When CC heard about EA’s answer, she went ballistic and called for the cancellation of the project. After all, she does not need the money, as she is among the richest celebrities around. While CC might have been emotional in her reaction, the decision seemed final because when EA finally agreed, his camp was told that the deal was over.
However, if EA and CC realize that the losing camp in their not doing the movie is neither of them, perhaps they might have a change of heart. After all, the project is not for them, but for their fans who have been waiting for decades to see them onscreen rekindle their moments.
