Just Calling It Like a Diva

Among the talents of this network (TN), Pretty Actress (PA) is the one whose name is easily recognized and the one who has a wider range of exposure in movies and endorsements. Thus, effort was directed to make sure that PA became the most sought after actress in her station. In other words, PA was given the best projects available and was assured of ample exposure.
These projects and exposure include attending special events, such as corporate shows and product events. The presence of celebrities is valued at such events because participants are more excited at the chance of being able to see celebrities up close. In one such event, the talents of TN were invited to grace the occasion. PA was, of course, among those who were present at the said event.
As the event progresses, PA was learned to have said that she felt very disappointed that they were not given proper accord by the organizers and sponsors. Given her status, PA was hit hard by the fact that the expected attention was not given to her as well as the other talents of TN. When the talent management of TN heard of PA’s reaction, a representative (AR) kind-heartedly visited PA to provide whatever could be done to soothe PA.
When AR approached PA, the former was shocked at the unexpected reaction of PA. The actress allegedly told AR not to bother her and instead talk to her handler. The diva attitude of PA was indeed unexpected, as AR was there to assure PA that they were being minded. Unfortunately, PA let her negative reaction cloud her attitude. Whereas AR allowed the incident to pass, the attitude of PA was uncalled for. Besides, although she might be the center of attention of the station, she may have forgotten that staying power in any network requires position disposition and being pleasant to the management of the network.

Same Situation, Different Reaction

When Skilled Actress (SA) was signed up for a project, much was expected from her, her co-stars, and the production. Judging on the publicity materials, the producers did not scrimp on the budget for their project. Hence, with such support from investors, the least the director could do is to bring out the best from all the stars. Here lies the problem. Although SA has worked with the best directors in her career, she seemed to be groping during the initial filming of the project.
In most of her scenes, SA had to act with a New Talent (NT), who started in the business only recently. NT, however, has been noticed for her acting skills and pleasant looks, which are reasons why she has various projects. Given that SA and NT have just recently become acquainted, they still could not achieve a certain chemistry required by the scenes. The instructions were clear, but the two could not get their act together. Predictably, the two got a mouthful from the head and were told to shape up.
SA and NT were subjected to the same words and actions, their reactions were opposite. SA allegedly threatened to back out, but NT took the sermon as a challenge to improve her craft. The reaction of SA did not surprise the people who heard it, as SA has a record of being difficult in some of her projects. Thus, the long break did not really change SA apparently.
As SA mulled the idea of backing out, someone whispered to her that in case she proceeds with her plans, she would be charged with the cost of the scenes she had done as well as the possibility of a breach of contract suit. Thus, her attitude would result in dire consequences that would harm her pocket and her reputation. If SA had quit, the possibility of getting a project given the tough competition nowadays would make it hard for her to get a new one. Any producer would opt for a talent who is younger, more talented, and more pleasant to work with compared with SA.
When SA learned that the possible charge was roughly a six-figure amount, she suddenly had a change of heart and just decided to take everything in stride. Besides, this project is meant for her and thus, she should be patient and give her best. Often, SA still thinks she still has the same influence eons ago when she was on top of her game.
