Projects for celebrities come in seasons. When a celebrity is well loved by fans, expect more projects in TV, cinema, or advertisements. The visibility of the said celebrity increases if such appearances actually translate to ratings, popularity, or revenue for the station. If only the same statement could be claimed for all actors and actresses in the local entertainment industry.

When an actress is cast in a supporting role in a project, she should make the most of her appearance, as the project is, of course, her source of income. Versatile Supporting Actress (VS) was on her way to becoming one of the more important talents of her station. VS had already proven her talent in acting, hosting, singing, and other performing arts. Then, VS suddenly disappeared just as she was about to be very near stardom. The network was already supporting her move towards a top position among its talents, and still, VS opted to make controversial decisions.

Just as when everyone though that VS was retiring from showbiz, she suddenly made an appearance in another network. However, she completed the cycle of changing her image as she moved from her sexy image to wholesomeness. People realized that VS seemed to not know what she wanted. As years past, VS successfully gained supporting roles.

Nonetheless, while VS thought she was doing well, she found herself jobless as her character in a new soap was going to be killed without any explanation. Bravely, she approached a Top Personality in the production (TP), which is not the protocol, and asked why that was going to happen. Subtly, TP quoted that the decision came from the management and that he had nothing to do with the development of her character.

As VS accepted the decision to pack up, rumors contradicted the statement of TP. Allegedly, VS could not get into the right characterization, which affected her acting. Thus, VS was cut. In fairness, VS is a competent performer, which could probably explain her doubt to the outcome of her character. In the local entertainment industry, sometimes, one has to make sure he/she is able to cope with production demands and be flexible when it comes to the particular requirements of the one who has the eye behind the cameras. In the case of VS, her ability did not match the bar set by TP.
