The Eccentric Pursuit

Nowadays, identifying men who like men from the rest is like separating strands of hay from the haystack. Unless one has a confirmation, such as stereotypes of flamboyancy or actual admission, today’s gay men smoothly blend in with straight men. While the out gay men are happy with their identities, they are able to man-up to their responsibilities. Sometimes, problems arise when the gay man cannot come out and has to resort behind an image that makes it impossible to expose his true self.
Take the case of Well-connected Talent (WT), who has to live with the image his career has imposed on him. WT does not come from a family of artists, nor does he have relatives in showbiz. His connection to showbiz is brought about by relations from influential personalities. Because he opted to break into showbiz, his actions are noticed, although he is not really among the top talents of the network.
Part of his image is to have that well defined body, which makes him a viable performer during male fashion shows. When WT was part of an all-male event, the production crew around him noticed that he could not keep still while he was being made up. He kept looking around, glancing here and there. The room was all sweaty with local and foreign male fashion models sharing the same area. Thus, dressing and undressing were taking place as quickly as the pace of the show.
Prior to his number, he would disappear and was noticed to be moving from cubicle to cubicle. This action was not really peculiar, as the performers were close and know each other. When the event was over, WT was seen entering the cubicle of three top hunk models, of mixed race origins. As these models were dressing up, they removed the underwear that they used during the modeling stint. Neatly, they piled the clothing in one area, and they moved to their own areas.
WT saw an opportunity and moved to pile of underwear. Thinking that no one saw him, WT sniffed the underwear and took them away. When the production people were rounding off the underwear used during the show, they could not find the ones used by the three models. The production people went around and asked if anyone knew what happened to the missing underwear. The only witness to the action of WT decided not to reveal what he saw, as WT would be placed in a very awkward and scandalous situation. This fetish could land him in hot water, as his image is that of a wholesome and straight talent of the network.

Making a Good Decision

A few years ago, Gifted Performer (GP) and Attractive Discovery (AD) fell in love. Both were single and starting careers in their network. While the idea seems right, the circumstances at that time said their love was wrong. GP was starring in soap that was surprisingly doing well in the ratings and he was earning raves for his superb acting. Meanwhile, AD was being hyped up by the network as the next breakthrough discovery.
GP and AD had to deny that they were together. The camp of AD was very protective and did not want her to be associated with GP. The two would go on dates, but would attempt to hide the sweetness between them. When interviewed by reporters, both denied they were special to each other. As the career of AD was being charted, her image needed her to be unattached, as commitment will diminish the fantasy attraction towards her. Finally, she broke up with GP. The break up was made publicly and it was too late for GP to salvage their love, even though he said that he still loves her then.
This heartbreak was often pinpointed as the root of the spiraling of GP. His follow-up soap did not last as expected, as he was becoming difficult to work with. Worse, rumors of bad habits and questionable sightings came up. His family had no choice but to intervene. For a time, GP disappeared. Because AD chose career over love, everyone thought she made the right choice, but the ratings told otherwise. Her projects did not at all fare well because she was not as capable as expected. Thus, she hardly had lead roles in any projects of the network.
After sometime, GP re-emerged and his comeback made an impact in the business. Upon regaining his confidence, he sought AD, who was still uncommitted. Allegedly, the original plan was to make her fall in love with him and dump her. The plan failed, as GP fell in love with AD again. This time, there was no more hiding and all seemed well. With positive times came projects and acceptance.
The quiet relationship was not to last. After a series of events, GP broke up with AD, but the reason was that such a decision was the best option, and not part of his original plan. Other than not adhering to his decision not to go out of town, GP was unhappy at one of the covers AD did. Because he chose to stay, he thought AD would remain as well, but the management made her go. The succeeding events led to complications.
While AD wanted to attend an event with GP, she was told by an executive not to show up, as the situation was still tense. Besides, the network valued more the bankable loveteams, which AD and GP were not part of. The network had already invested in the outfits of possible people who might get involved in case something untoward might happen. Not surprisingly, AD went up to top-level management, and she was told to go, as she would be taken care of. She wanted to go with GP, but he refused the idea because he was still much upset.
The frustration of GP was worsened by people who allegedly fanned the flames. GP started sending messages to the person concerned, who ignored the messages, but did run to an executive to show that he was being threatened. Finally, GP resorted to a public forum, but after a few hours, the message, which felt really serious to followers, was deleted. GP might have realized that it was no use challenging a network’s prized gem.

Insta Scoop: JM de Guzman Wants to Fight Enrique Gil, Tells Him to Man Up

While people are still trying to understand the breakup of JM de Guzman and Jessy Mendiola, a source revealed that things got complicated between the two after the London flight incident.
After JM learned the details of the incident, he got really angry and allegedly threatened to kill Enrique Gil for what he did to Jessy during the flight. More than the verbal fuss, the drunk Enrique allegedly rubbed his crotch on the actress.
Enrique then showed JM's threatening text to an executive of the network. What is not clear was if JM was banned from attending the Star Magic Ball or he purposely did not go. With the tension between JM and Enrique, trouble might erupt if they cross paths.
While JM showed he was ready to defend Jessy's honor, the idea of hurting Enrique did not sit well with her. Thus, to avoid more hurt, the two ended their relationship.
Earlier, JM resorted to social media to challenge Enrique to an amateur martial arts fight and called out to the actor to man up. Based on the IG post of JM, Enrique has been ignoring his texts.
