When she was introduced some time ago, Pretty Starlet (PS) managed to match talents with the better actors in the business. PS effectively played her roles, and some people thought that her acting level was unlike that of newcomers. People also noticed that she has the looks and potential to become a fast-rising star. However, PS could not be packaged as the girl-next-door type because her initial appearances did not gear towards that image.
Her home network immediately grabbed the opportunity to give PS her biggest break. PS was elated as this project was the chance to develop her career and for her to earn. However, the project did not deliver as expected, and PS was left without work. Adding pressure was the fact that she was the breadwinner of her family. Without work, she would be unable to provide for the necessities. PS became depressed, and thus, began a bigger problem. PS started gaining weight.
Although a celebrity might be within the weight limit for his/her height, one should remember that appearing onscreen adds extra weight. This phenomenon could explain why fans comment that such actress is so slim in real life. For PS, the excess pounds became noticeable, and thus, she faced the inevitable. She could not get good roles.
Lucky for her, a Film Industry insider (FI) fancied PS. As FI was doing a project, there was a role in the movie that could fit the image of PS. However, the production already had Talented Starlet (TS) in mind for the said role. When PS learned of FI’s desires, they negotiated. Although FI was attracted to PS, he was going to give the role to her based on certain conditions. First, they have to have a private moment. It seems that was the easiest to fulfill. Second, PS had to lose weight, which was more difficult than the first.
Was PS able to meet the conditions? Well, in the movie, no TS could be found; instead, it was PS who copped the significant role. Thus, PS and FI did spend their private moment and PS lost weight. Conditions were fulfilled, and PS finally had a project. The movie did well at the box office, which could remind casting directors that PS could play supporting roles effectively. Thus, everyone was happy. As for TS, what she does not know won’t hurt her.
