Often, the public look up to celebrities as sources of inspiration and strength. Celebrities are assumed to be role models and positive reinforcements. Thus, more often than not, they get invited to grace occasions like visiting orphanages or hospitals for example. Although others will view such activities as publicity gimmick, the presence of these stars brings immeasurable joy to the ones they visit. To be fair, some stars are sincere and use their presence to bring hope to the afflicted and underprivileged.
When Network Talent (NT) was just starting, her name was synonymous to positivity. NT belongs to a showbiz clan and is one of the few who managed to complete a degree from a top university. Her looks are refreshing and her communication skills commendable.
Unfortunately, when NT was invited to an activity for ill children, she did not live up to her hosts' expectations. As the special guest, NT was expected to interact with the kids and give words of inspiration. But instead, she just sat at a corner and tinkered with her mobile phone. She did not mingle with the kids as her hosts had expected her to. People who saw her indifference kept that image in mind.
As NT’s star has grown bigger, that indifference has left an impression that says much of her character. Thus, whenever her name is attached to negative issues, people are no longer surprised. Of course, people do change over time, and NT has all the chances to redeem herself and overcome the negative impression she has created on her public.
