Her Jewels are Gone

This is very true for few celebrities who not only have deep pockets, but also feel deeply for the afflicted. Some go out of their way to help even if those deprived are beyond reach physically. There are even those who help but want to remain incognito – bless them.
Still there are some who are even labeled as stingy but are quick to the rescue when they are most needed to help uplift the downtrodden. Indeed, there are quiet angels in our midst and they deserve our respect and admiration.
Controversial Personality CP is known to be one the more generous celebrities in the industry. She has earned the respect of the public and fellow celebrities owing to her wealth of achievements and contributions to the industry.
Elder Actress EA has not been active in showbiz for quite sometime. For reasons only known to her, EA seems to be in a self-imposed hiatus. Her fans and followers wonder why she has been low-key when she used to be one of the country’s best and beautiful actresses.
EA’s being inactive has perhaps drained her personal finances, something that’s quite hard to believe since her family is known to be comfortable, especially the income from her husband’s line of work. That’s why CP was surprised when EA approached her to sell to her her pieces of jewelry and branded personal belongings.
Although taken aback, CP tried to control herself from giving in to EA’s request since she saw no need for those stuff that EA was selling because she already loads of them. But then, she realized that it took a lot of guts to muster for EA to approach her for help for such sensitive money matters knowing that her (EA) family’s reputation is at stake. And to top it all – they are not really close.
It then occurred to CP that EA must be in very bad need of money – which she found really unbelievable. If it were another person, CP would not have wondered – but EA? Does EA’s husband even know about it, or is he giving her enough? What about her other super rich relatives, like FA? Oh well…

Every media appearance of a celebrity often depends on the people behind the scenes. While very few celebrities are innately witty and knowledgeable, a number can pretend to wing it and think that all viewers can tolerate their mistakes and not mind them at all. Even if writers have done their jobs and instructions have been given, some celebrities will lapse into their fossilized mistakes, which could be embarrassing at this age of grammar Nazis.
Thus, when Righteous Celebrity (RC) kept mispronouncing common words, some people in the audience could not help but be irritated by her speech. For example, she kept saying “Columbian,” instead of “Colombian.” While many will not mind the difference between the “u” and “o” sound, the pronunciation means a great deal in conveying meaning. In this case, the former refers to a university in New York, while the latter refers to a citizen from a country.
Incidentally, an FP follower pointed out certain errors in a recent work of RC. RC, having placed the country on the map in a contest a few years ago, is expected to be knowledgeable about the competition. Unfortunately, her work had several inconsistencies, such as the number of finalists in the competition where she participated years ago. Another alleged error is the year when a former winner ran in her home country for a national position. The year was 1998, but it was indicated as 2008. Either the work suffered from bad proofreading or RC did not check her facts.
As of now, RC has kept a low profile in the entertainment industry, and has opted to attempt to inspire the public to have a change of heart by using her experiences to convince them. However, most no longer find RC that credible as her last public pronouncements have created unwanted controversy among the different sectors of society, and perhaps, RC might want to check her facts as well.
