She Might Lose Her Grip

A Controversial Star CS rumored to be the girl of one of The Bosses TB really does enjoy the privileges of being the ‘It Girl.’ Given the length of her affair with TB, there is no doubt that CS enjoys all the privileges of someone her status.

CS was reported to be hurting when she was expecting, but failed to get a plum role. But those in the know say that in spite of such disappointment, CS is quite confident of her status under the able handling of TB. After all, she knows just how crazy he is over her.

For one, CS is reportedly allowed visits to the private quarters of the low-profile TB. Given his sensitive position, TB is quite circumspect when it comes to his private dealings. Yet certainly, there are always exceptions to the rule.

In one of her visits to TB's, as CS was leaving the unit, she suddenly saw A Girl AG about to go to the same unit where she just came from. Expectedly, their eyes met – and stared at each other. CS thus asked AG - do I know you, who are you?

Not liking CS’ tone of asking, AG shot back – and who are you?

CS snapped back – who are you?

AG: Who are you?

CS, as if wanting to ignite a fight: Who are you? Hmmm…you must be one of the girls in TB's stable who regularly comes here, right?

Shocked by what she heard, AG slapped CS hard. CS slapped her back.

Until they were alternately slapping each other already.

Fortunately, TB and his staff came to separate the two ladies who were at each other like mad dogs. What they heard from the staff floored them. It was then when CS and AG realized who was who.

But CS was more shocked than anyone - couldn’t believe she just slapped TB's daughter!

Makati is 'Selfie Capital of the World' - TIME

The city of Makati, the Philippines' financial center, has been dubbed by TIME Magazine as the "Selfie Capital of the World."

"An examination of hundreds of thousands of selfies—the low-fi, self-shot photographs that are intensely popular among younger social media users—suggests that the city, part of metropolitan Manila and home to 500,000 people, produces more selfies per capita than any other city in the world," TIME Magazine's Chris Wilson said regarding Makati, the nation's business center.

Pasig City also joined Makati on top of the TIME list.

The TIME study, which covered 459 cities and was built using a database of more than 400,000 Instagram photos tagged with the term "selfie" that also included geographic coordinates, revealed that Makati and Pasig cities have 258 selfie-takers per 100,000 people.

Cebu City also made it to the top 10, ranking 9th with 99 selfie-takers per 100,000 people.

Below are the top ten cities in the world which produce the most selfies, according to TIME:

1. Makati City & Pasig, Philippines: 258 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

2. Manhattan, New York: 202 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

3. Miami, Florida: 155 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

4. Anaheim & Santa Ana, California: 147 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

5. Petaling Jaya, Malaysia: 141 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

6. Tel Aviv, Israel: 139 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

7. Manchester, England: 114 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

8. Milan, Italy: 108 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

9. Cebu City, Philippines: 99 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

10. George Town, Malaysia: 95 selfie-takers per 100,000 people

Methodology

The TIME said the photos from which the list was based were downloaded from the Instagram API in two sets of five days, from January 28 to February 2, 2014 and March 3 to 7, 2014. Data for each day consisted "of the 24-hour period from midnight to midnight to account for all time zones equally."

The 402,197 Instagram photos tagged "selfie" included geographic coordinates. TIME noted that the data "only account for a fraction of all selfies uploaded during that time since the majority of photos do not include a location."

"For every city in the world of at least 250,000 residents, we then counted the number of selfies taken within 5 miles and divided by the population of that city," TIME said.

TIME said that while the metric of "people who take selfies per capita" is far from a perfect measure, "it was far and away the most comprehensive means of comparing the 459 world cities that turned up at least 25 individual users in the database."

Other than the penchant for selfies, TIME said smartphone adoption rates and median income are also considered factors.

"As such, this list tends to favor regions just outside major urban areas," TIME said.

TIME also noted that not all photos tagged with the term "selfie" were actual selfies, and that informal tests showed that vast majority of the photos were of a single person. There were also attempts to find international versions of the word "selfie," "but none of the suggested translations showed up in any appreciable volume."

In cases where cities near each other were combined on the list, TIME explained that photos were matched using the "nearest neighbor" algorithm that found the nearest city with at least 250,000 residents.

"This means that, even within the fairly tight radius of 5 miles from the center of a city, some photos are counted which were not physically taken in that city," TIME said.

"All of our tests suggested this was an acceptable tradeoff for the speed of this method of geocoding, which also serves to group the innermost suburbs with the city that they surround."

Arrogant Sense of Entitlement

While a few celebrities have kept a low profile, others take advantage of their fame to obtain favors. For instance, some celebrities are known for chiding clothing companies for sponsorship or stores for discounts. Still, other celebrities take their endorsements seriously, and will not risk any opportunity to be seen with the rival product. Hence, some celebrities feel that their presence should result in their demands to be responded to positively.

A few weeks ago, talents from the various networks graced the yearly festivities of a city up north. Celebrities riding in floats and walking around the city were already common, and the locals showed respect to their visitors. Naturally, the response is that kindness should beget kindness, but a celebrity (CP) felt she should be privileged because she was famous.

Any visitor to the city knows where to head off to buy the best sweets and fruit preserves, and is ready to cue for minutes. Since the festival was going on, the city had more people than usual, and the store had longer lines. When CP arrived with her company, people in the area smiled at her to acknowledge her presence. Instead of smiling back, CP exuded a snobbish personality or the feeling of a VIP. Then, when she saw the line, she made her way to the counter and expected to be accommodated. Alas, the clerks were wise not to give in to her demand even if she were a celebrity.

Feeling irritated, CP walked out of the store. As CP was moving, a fan slightly touched her elbow as if asking if CP could pause for a moment for them to have a photo. CP merely brushed away the fan, and continued on her way. Though the onlookers could not help at seeing how beautiful and slim CP was, her attitude was the opposite. CP was arrogant and unpleasant. Someone quipped that CP is so unlike her mother, one of the country’s best-loved dramatic actresses in and out of the limelight.
