No Mending for the Money He Loaned

Sometime ago, feisty actress mother FA got involved in several controversies that greatly created impact on her credibility, family, and finances. Her problems with another equally fiery mother hen MH seemed to have no end.

While their controversy died down when media focused on more significant national news, some sectors wondered where FA was getting her funds to support her family. At the height of the bickering, MH pounded on the alleged lack of money of FA to support her lifestyle. However, FA kept quiet and refused to answer the allegations of MH.

Lately, a story is going around as to the identity of the alleged person who helped FA financially. A creative young actor CY who has made himself a regular fixture in the family of FA allegedly extended a loan to FA. The said amount was over a million pesos, which he got from his savings and also from his father’s. It was out of love that CY risked the said amount of money for FA.

As time passed, CY was getting worried because FA would often post in a social networking site that she was at a noted recreational spot somewhere in Manila. CY expressed concern that FA was playing with the slots or at the tables using the money that he loaned her. In the next days, he tried to collect payment. Of course, FA replied that she had no money yet to pay him. Uh oh…

Unlike FA who has started her career quite young, and has established strong connections early on, CY worked his way into the business and began as a nobody. Whatever money he has saved is the fruit of his hard work. Unfortunately, CY is no longer a hot commodity as when he began his career. Thus his asking FA for loan payment is understandable, but then, he is also risking losing a significant part of his life if he incurs the ire of FA. Poor CY, will he let go of the money for love or will he risk losing his love over money?

A Rare & Gnarly Experiment

After a hard game of basketball, four young hunks of a big network went drinking. After a few rounds, they got a bit drunk, and started talking about sexuality. Typical of young men to talk about the topic, right? However, what happened after could shock their network bosses, and add more fuel to the fire on issues hounding two of these hunks.

The four young hunks decided to try kissing each other. The teasing began when one of them said, “Hunk 2 kiss Hunk 1!” Since Hunk 2 seemed coy, it was Hunk 1 who initiated the move and started to kiss his lips. However, Hunk 2 felt awkward kissing Hunk 1.

When Hunk 3 and Hunk 4 saw that Hunk 1 and Hunk 2 did their part, the second pair felt the pressure. So, Hunk 3 began kissing Hunk 4 harder and more torrid than what Hunk 1 did to Hunk 2. Hunk 3 was on performance level to the extent that Hunk 1 himself felt uncomfortable. In that game, Hunk 3 and Hunk 4 definitely came out the winner with Hunk 3 having the most fun.

Why did Hunk 1 and Hunk 3 initiate their kissing game? Does this action confirm the rumor that has been hounding both since they started their careers? These four have been linked to common female stars of the same network. However, only Hunk 2 and Hunk 4 have really been open with their relationships with equally hot female celebrities. Hunk 1 and Hunk 3 have been linked to female stars, but no confirmation has ever been made publicly.

Don't Photos Lie?

Too often, netizens see numerous photos of some members of this infamous clan IC showing them hugging, kissing and supporting each other – but don’t look now - coz you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

Most of us benefit a lot from the use – and abuse – of social media. For the members of IC, it is no different, as they enjoy its every conceivable feature. Every little change of clothing, food, gifts of whatever, places and parties gone to - all are vigorously posted on their respective accounts. Well, it’s fine alright. After all, social media’s popularity has definitely reached such dizzying heights.

But for everything there is to it, what catches one’s attention to the posts of some IC members is their closeness. You see public photos of them with wide smiles, all signifying their unquestionable love and commitment as a family. How ideal indeed, if true.

It is public knowledge how generous this flambuoyant relative FR is to the other members of IC. Reportedly, a younger member YM of IC is the luckiest recipient of FR's bottomless generosity. YM who has the biggest number of family members often gets the biggest slice of the pie from FR.

Reportedly, while the family members FM of YM are savoring all of these, unknown (probably) to them, the lone family member LM of FR is not so cool with it. According to the source, LM privately resents the materialistic and freeloading culture of YR and FM. On the surface, LM pretends that she supports FR’s decisions and her alleged misplaced generosity. But deep inside, LM is allegedly revolting against such practice.

At an intimate gathering one day, LM was overheard alluding to FM as FR’s “dependents” (note: dependents was used in place of the actual and harsher term that LM used)

Has LM gone weary with the members of IC? Is she now bearing the brunt of what is called “donor fatigue?” Your guess might be as good as mine.

Claudine Barretto: I'm Back!

MANILA, Philippines -- After a controversy-plagued two-year hiatus from showbiz, Claudine Barretto is finally coming back.

The 33-year-old actress invited ABS-CBN News to the birthday party of her daughter, Sabina, held Saturday afternoon at Blue Water Day Spa in Quezon City, where she made the announcement.

"Nag-pe-prepare na ako. Puspusan na ang pagpe-prepare. Actually mga one week palang ako nakakapag-prepare. I'm very excited. I'm very, very excited," she told ABS-CBN News and other members of the press.

Barretto confirmed an earlier report of ABS-CBN News that she is set to star in two films -- one under Viva Films, where she is under contract, and the other, a project involving Star Cinema.

Star Cinema is the film production outfit of ABS-CBN, where Barretto was an exclusive talent for 17 years, before she signed with GMA-7 in 2009.

"Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mauuna [sa dalawang pelikula], magmi-meeting palang kami. Mag-mi-mieet palang kami hopefully this week, and doon ko malalaman," she said.

Barretto's last regular role in a TV series was "Iglot" in 2011. Her last film, a co-production of Viva Films and GMA Films, "In Your Eyes," was released in 2010.

"So now finally, sa lahat ng mga Claudinians, malapit na malapit na po. Magpapa-kundisyon lang, dahil medyo maraming pinagdaanan, pero eto na. Eto na rin. Malapit na malapit na," she said.

Despite her being inactive as an actress in recent years, Barretto has continued to be the subject of headlines, most recently due to a feud among her family members and her separation from husband Raymart Santiago.

The birthday celebration of Barretto's daughter on Saturday was the first time the actress had an on-camera interview since both issues erupted.
