The popularity of social media to generate interest and exposure has changed the way celebrities are marketed. These days, content can be easily derived from various social media sites of celebrities themselves. Personal interviews on issues are not as frequently done, as celebrities use their platforms to clarify involvement in controversy. Nonetheless, major networks still cover social media content to maintain or increase audience viewership.
When news confirmed that Well-known Personality (WP) had decided to leave her network after many years, many were surprised. The standard excuse always hinges on personal and artistic growth and WP is no different. Although the leaving shocked loyal network fans, management let WP go without fuss.
Although WP is between jobs, with future commitments being finalized, she enjoys the coverage of various network platforms. WP has many fans who have followed her career since she started early. Many fans saw how she evolved into one of the country’s impressive actresses. Entertainment sites continue to cover WP’s personal and professional activities even after she decided to leave. Her social media presence is frequently noticed and featured by mainstream venues.
Meanwhile, the grapevine is abuzz over the future coverage of WP by entertainment sites close to her former management. The rumor is that WP is gearing towards another management, which seals off possibilities of returning to her old one. Allegedly, giving time and space for WP’s content will be limited or none at all in those entertainment sites. WP will, thus, no longer enjoy as much mileage as she did even before she signs on the dotted line.

Awkward Truth

Like most blended families, Amiable Figure (AF) enjoys a harmonious relationship with various family members. However, the levels of these relationships are different and thus, AF seems to favor one side over the other. AF revealed her sentiments to a close friend.
AF realized that she feels out of place with Home One (HO). The way they view life is different and AF cannot fit in at times. AF feels the distance, but maintains good relations to keep the communication lines open. They are family, after all.
By contrast, another side of the family welcomes AF without the heaviness she feels with HO. AF can be herself and her pressure is less with them. Moreover, AF thinks she is better understood when she’s with that side than HO.
Things changed between AF and HO a few year ago. AF was busy with her commitments, while HO was expanding and growing. The way the home was managed affected AF, who felt her freedom was being limited. Subsequently, AF explored the path towards independence. HO let her go, as AF had to journey through life and gain experiences on her own.
Time further changed things for the better. AF and HO are enjoying a smooth relationship. When AF learned of a major decision of HO, she declined an offer. HO insisted she has to be part of the decision. Rather than create conflict by insisting she does not want to have active participation, AF went with the flow and let HO handle the matter. For now, AF’s relationship with HO centers on respect and gratitude.

Is it true that a production unit and its Team Leader (TL) went through a covid-19 ordeal? TL has been tight on maintaining the quality of the show that the risk of covid seemed to have been overlooked.
In the process of coming up with episodes, the production team was instructed by TL to conduct research on topics that could entice viewers. These days, even drama materials are based on real experiences, which have a strong draw on the audience. However, the instruction of TL violated the management’s memo of going out of town, which is in compliance with government restrictions. The production unit informed TL that they have enough episodes for replays. TL refused the idea.
The production unit could not disobey TL, as they were on a per project compensation. Hence, no work meant no pay. After going out of town for research, the members came home and were swabbed. The results were positive for a number of staff. TL told the staff to keep quiet; their medical needs will be taken care of and they have nothing to worry.
The stricken staff was replaced by new members, who were subsequently hit by the virus as well. No amount of secrecy could be toned down. The management found out and called TL to explain. TL defended the position and the advertising revenue seemed to have been important. Given the circumstances and possible complications, the management made a company-wide decision to curb the spread of the virus. The irony of it all is that TL was allegedly found to be covid positive.

Friend’s Reminder

Fellow Actress (FA) heard about the visits of Attractive Actor (AA) to the home of Single Pal (SP). FA had to verify the sighting. Sometimes, AA would show up in gym clothes. Instead of talking behind her back, FA directly asked SP about AA’s presence. SP did not mince words and admitted that AA has been visiting her. FA felt a red flag was up and reminded SP that AA is still domestically tied up.
To her defense, SP said that she and AA are collaborating on a project. SP said that working with AA has brought positive results in the past and the time is right for them to revive their partnership. Besides, AA is always welcome to do his workout at SP’s home as gyms are still closed. SP stressed that no malice is between her and AA despite old rumors linking them.
FA then asked SP if Persistent Friend (PF) knew about AA’s visit. SP was puzzled and asked why PF should know. PF is just a date and they are not together. They can do what they want freely. FA did not ask for further explanation and added she wanted to remind SP to avoid the issue to boomerang on her reputation.
Incidentally, friends of PF believe that SP is not looking for more than friendship with him. He could have been the distraction at the right moment and nothing beyond that role. Time is passing and circumstances are changing. However, PF refused to acknowledge such idea and will not give up on SP.

Friendship and Mr. Flawless (Part 2)

Steadfast Woman (SW), Creative Homemaker (CH), and Balanced Assessor (BA) have maintained their friendship over the years since they started careers. What was remarkable is that they reached their status based on merits and achievements. Hence, they shared common ground.
BA is the constant listening ear and steadfast friend. She supported SW and CH during dark times, but they never imagined that one day, BA would open up. According to BA, Her Man (HM) often leaves their bed in the middle of the night to spend time in their library. This behavior did not bother BA given that she knew HM needed to cope with work. She merely returned to sleep when HM was not next to her. One night, BA realized HM took much time in the library. She stood up and prepared coffee for him.
As BA approached the library, Household Worker (HW) in her sexy night outfit and disheveled hair stepped out. BA dropped the coffee mug. HM went out to see what happened. He was in his boxers and said he asked HW to bring him coffee. BA rushed to their room. HM continued his coffee story. BA believed HM and kept quiet.
SW and CH asked BA why she did not probe. BA admitted she might be unable to handle the possible truth, but her intuition said something was fishy. Like her advice, the two said she should avoid fighting with HM to keep the marriage smooth. After a few days, BA fired HW and HM did not say anything.
Meanwhile, SW and CH talked about BA and giggled at the type of competition BA had. After all, their partners who allegedly had their bouts of infidelity, had women of higher stature than HW.
