Unsympathetic Attitude

Humility struck Perceptive Woman (PW) when she decided to get in touch with Indifferent Lady (IL). PW figured out that the best way to reach Unsympathetic Man (UM) was through IL. PW sent a long message to IL. PW apologized if she had done IL wrong earlier and asked for help to contact UM. Time passed and no reply nor acknowledgement came. PW feared she might have been blocked.

PW needed UM for financial help. Despite sending his assistance, PW allegedly wanted more. UM stood firm and refused to talk about his financial means. Through a Common Friend (CF), PW relayed her message to IL. CF confirmed that IL had changed contact details. This change added difficulty to PW.

IL told CF that she did not want to find herself in an awkward position, which prevented her from entertaining PW. For her, PW and UM should talk by themselves and she does not have to be part of the communication. UM stated his stand. He told IL to ignore all communication attempts of PW. UM claimed that he knew what he was doing, but PW had problems that compounded her financial distress.

CF relayed what he obtained from IL and UM to PW. Subsequently, PW did not like what she heard and the attitude of UM irked her. Hence, humility went down the drain and anger surfaced.

Misfired Attraction

During the lull of a lockdown shooting, Talent 1 (T1) and Talent 2 (T2) were unwinding with a few drinks. T1 then confided to T2 that he was starting to get attracted to Mesmerizing Distraction (MD). MD has always been the type of T1, but she was not single when he was. T2 reminded T1 that he was committed to Talent 3 (T3).

As T3 was involved in other commitments, T1 had a bit of freedom. Despite the reminders of T2, T1 started to hang around with MD. T1 would make conversations with MD, who, given her friendly nature, entertained the small talk. Subsequently, Interfering Talent (IT) reminded MD that T1 has a relationship. MD acknowledged what IT said and added she was just friendly.

The reaction of MD did not satisfy IT. IT was aware that some time ago, MD and T3 had a falling out and she thought that entertaining T1 was deliberate on MD’s part. Allegedly, IT started taking photos of T1 and MD together and sent the photos to T3. One time, IT claimed hearing a staff reprimanding T1 not to spend much time in the room of MD, as that was violating the rules of their lockdown. That incident reached T3 as well.

T3 was furious and directed her ire at T1 and MD. T1 tried to pacify T3, but he was unsuccessful. Hence, he knew their relationship was not going to be smooth in the future. Meanwhile, MD distanced herself from the issue, as she would rather focus on her career than spend time answering accusations.

Creeping Insecurity

Once among top contenders, the pressure is to rise above the rest or maintain the position. When fame and fortune are involved, as well as new entries coming in, competition for the top position can be very stressful. Such was the realization of Top Contender (TC).

As soon as TC and the team noticed that her position was being threatened by a new Resourceful Maker (RM), they had to reassess their vision. The team assessed the strategy of RM and the ways she managed to catch up with the top players in a short time. They realized that the strategy of RM had been done before by TC and her team, except for an idea that could stir up her family. Thus, they embarked on reaching out to popular figures. The plan worked, but seemed to lack something that RM had. The team suggested doing a deed that would touch the hearts of the supporters. Allegedly, although RM is helping out, the profits are still comfortable.

A Member (AM) suggested doing what RM does but with a twist so their work would not look like a copycat. They could level up what RM is doing. Unfortunately, TC does not want to spend too much. TC fumed and lashed out at AM, who seemed to have defended RM. TC said that the team was hired and paid to raise fresh ideas, not recycled ones. TC added that she finds the work of RM tacky and too scripted. Hence, TC decided to drop the idea of cloning what RM has done. Later, AM received a text indicating his services are no longer needed.
