Pushing A Dream

When Successful Celebrity (SC) was starting out, she was really just another female personality hoping to be noticed by the influential heads of the network that took her in. SC knew that competition would be tough, as she does not know anyone in the industry and neither did she have any support system that could help her become popular. SC needed a way to help her family and she believed that becoming an actress could elevate the quality of life of her family.

As SC was a nobody waiting for a break, she was rejected by two of the network’s hottest male talents at that time. Male Hottie 1 (MH1) was a refreshing figure among the talents. He had the height and the physique that made him very attractive. He was the favorite of the network then and was paired off with named actresses. Thus, when MH1 found out that a struggling starlet, SC, was going to be his leading lady in a project he thumbed down the idea. He allegedly claimed that being paired with an unknown would stain his career.

Male Hottie 2 (MH2) was subsequently told that SC would be his partner in a project. SC then might not have been as stunning now, but she did possess the potential to become a competent actress. Like MH1, MH2 ditched the idea, as he did not welcome the idea to be matched with a cheap starlet. Besides, his male contemporaries were being paired with female talents who had strong fan chapters, while SC was not even known.

Despite the rejection of MH1 and MH2, Powerful Insider (PI) was pushing for a break for SC. PI saw something special in SC, but she was being turned down by the likes of MH1 and MH2 whose careers were zooming then.

Rejections did not dampen the young SC, nor did the network let her go. SC had a dream and nothing could stop her. Years later, SC fulfilled her dreams, and even if the road was not smooth, she kept moving. Today, SC is coveted by the hottest personalities and she can date any man she wants. Incidentally, right after SC found the right combination to unlock her career, she confided to a close relation that she now had the power to meet influential men and she vowed to date the better ones, as a form of ‘revenge’ to the times when the popular actors, like MH1 and MH2 kept turning her down for acting breaks. Looking back to the times she was rejected, SC could only say that fate is round.

Meanwhile, MH1 and MH2 are nearly erased from today’s rosters of hottest leading men. While their contemporaries are still in the competitive list, they are only brought to attention as a result of controversy over rumored benefactors and memes.

After weeks of speculations and denials, the breakup admission of showbiz couple, James Reid and Nadine Lustre, last night rocked their fandom. As soon as the official statement was released by Tonight with Boy Abunda, online sites immediately made the news their headline. Even Twitter showed the top trend of #JaDine, whereby fans expressed their disbelief in the breakup and gratitude for the joy and inspiration the couple brought them.

Although the statement ends all questions on the state of the relationship of the couple, the breakup was already a controversial topic early in December 2019. ‘Road to Nowhere’, a blind item in Fashion PULIS that was published on December 9, 2019, was about the couple’s breakup.

Raising children while maintaining a career in the entertainment industry is twice as challenging as raising children from a non-showbiz career. Unwillingly, children of celebrities are watched by fans and bashers. Thus, if such child is not properly oriented, chances of dissent are high. By contrast, Popular Mother (PM) tried her best to raise Independent Offspring (IO) while in the limelight. Luckily, IO was loved by PM’s followers and even most of the entertainment industry.

As years passed, PM and IO showed the world that mothering while in showbiz can be a successful career in itself. IO was accustomed to be in the limelight and she grew up to be one of the most admired showbiz children. The maturity she showed was impressive, as she knew how to use her fame to her advantage.

Things seemed to have changed. Belatedly, IO has shown stubbornness, which broke PM’s heart. Allegedly, the reasons stem form PM’s expressing her ideas, which is typical of an elder person giving advice. For example, PM has been advising IO to handle her relationships better. PM has noticed that IO would reveal much of her activities with her partners in social media. Thus, PM reminded IO not to reveal everything to the public and that she should keep things private.

While that reminder seemed manageable, PM asked IO something that totally changed their dynamics. PM mustered the courage to ask IO about the rumors that circulated about her nasty escapades years ago. IO was shocked, but PM had to know the answer directly, as her source was very reliable. Since that moment, IO started to be less visible in matters involving PM, and she no longer communicated with family relations as often. As to how long IO can keep her distance, only time can tell. What the public sees is a hurt PM, who is gaining sympathy as well.
