The moment when a once-unknown is bestowed the chance for stardom, his/her life is changed. He/She has to keep with the image given to him/her by the management. Privacy and financial situations change. When the unknown becomes known, every movement is watched, and unguarded photos and comments are uploaded in social media. Such is the price of fame, but the financial gains can compensate for lack of privacy.
Sadly, not every young person who becomes successful in his/her career early realize that he/she is just in the initial step, as keeping an acceptable image and sustainability are keys to true and lasting success in the entertainment scene. The cliché is true that one is only as good as the last project and he/she has to find ways to keep fans interested.
When Defiant Actor (DA) started showing lack of interest in his projects, many started to feel sorry for him, as he was on a second chance momentum. However, he seemed to have become tired of having to conform to the rules set by management. DA wanted to go on his own and live within his rules. He no longer wanted to be the boy-next-door or the role model for the youth. He wants to light that cigarette, dance like no one is watching, and bask under the sun and swim in the waters for as long as he wants. So, he dropped everything that would hinder him from holding on to his own time.
DA is not along. Like him, Talented Celebrity (TC) has decided to explore other options and slowly deviate from the career path that was being set for her. TC has shunned the “nice girl” image and has no qualms showing off her body in the skimpiest outfit in endorsements and even in public. Rumors are strong that she’s also preparing to leave the people who have invested in building up her career. Observers are keen on tagging DA and TC as embodiments of ‘you only live once’ and the two are living it up. The new year holds much promise and if DA and TC will be successful in fulfilling their plans in 2020 remains to be seen.

Things settled down when the two moved to a corner and engaged in conversation. After a few minutes and a snapshot, YS1 hurriedly left and YS2 returned to the table of her other friends. What shocked YS2’s friends was when she started talking about her conversation with YS1 in a loud voice and emotional exaggeration.
Allegedly, YS1 told YS2 that she was already secretly dating Indifferent Celebrity (IC), who has decided to distance himself from the controversies of the industry. Moreover, now that YS1 and IC are single, things are much better, as the pressure has been lifted. YS2 even shared that the bashers of YS1, who did not mince words to shame her, are now vindicated, as events are slowly turning and proving them wrong. The loud voice of YS2 indeed caught the ears of nearby people, who started to doubt if her story about YS1 was correct.
Still, YS2 continued to talk about YS1 as though they have a deep friendship. Then, she added that YS1 had to hurry up because IC was waiting for her outside the events place. Of course, IC was in his car, so as not to arouse suspicion.
As YS2 continued to blabber, a co-worker who was seated with her reminded her to tone down, as other people in the next tables were already listening to her. Worse, some of their tablemates were turned off at YS2, who could not keep a secret after all.
