Their Attitude

Seeing celebrities overseas is such a treat for Filipinos working abroad. Overseas Filipinos are eager to attend shows that feature local celebrities. The sight of familiar faces and hearing songs from the country shorten the distance between home and workplace. Thus, seeing Filipino celebrities walking around a foreign country, especially one considered as a common OFW destination, is always welcome.

Nonetheless, while Filipino celebrities can understand the eagerness of fellow Filipinos to see the, others can be bad-mannered and show their true colors even if overseas fans are polite in asking for a small favor.

Two related celebrities were once spotted entering a mall overseas. As Filipinos are everywhere and the two are well-known, someone approached Celebrity One (CO) and asked if he could have a photo with her. CO suddenly blurted sarcastically, ‘Picture, daw’. Onlookers heard CO and felt uncomfortable at her attitude. CO even smirked. The fan was embarrassed, but continued with her intention. Moreover, there were other nationalities people around and not just Filipinos.

Meanwhile, Celebrity Two (CT) suddenly moved between the fan and CO. The gesture was uncalled for, but was interpreted as CT’s way of asking attention and making people know she’s around. No one was approaching her, unlike CO, who happens to be more famous than CT. That action of CT is not at all surprising, as she also has horror stories about her attitude. While she projects a jolly personality on cam, CT has off cam moments that reveal the opposite.
