Whenever a celebrity leaves his/her management, eyes are set on potential talents who could fill the void. Although seasoned talents are reliable, investing in new talents can be a worthwhile process, as they would not be as expensive as the big-name celebrities and more importantly, have not developed an attitude that would irritate the production. However, if a talented celebrity is available, then he/she would be offered a lucrative deal.
A few weeks ago, rumors spread that a network was looking forward to obtaining the services of Competent Singer (CS) to take over the void left by Gone Talent (GT). While CS might not be as popular as GT, she has the talent that could inspire and motivate the younger generation. In terms of seniority, CS could command respect as well. Thus, viewers were awaiting if the said network would tie up CS to a lucrative contract. Unfortunately, CS dashed all expectations when she signed up with a rival network.
The act of CS surprised many observers who thought she could be the one to be seen as a mentor to all young talents. CS, obviously, did not want that role bestowed on her. Well, rumors have it that CS did not want to be left behind, as all her former associates have all signed up with the rival station and she was the only who still haven’t committed herself. Besides, the rival station could provide her with exposure in musical shows that the other one does not have. Rather than risk being stagnant, CS opted to take back her verbal affirmation and just moved on.
