Clueless Response

Over the years, Successful Actor (SA) has raised the bar for actors, which made many of his contemporaries review their strategy in maintaining their celebrity status. From a no one but with an admirable physique, SA was determined to go beyond being tagged as “shrimp.” With his various engagements, SA showed that he has the brains and the talent to go with his fit body.
However, SA could not seem to remain put in one station and decided to explore possibilities. The risk was quite high when he made the decision, as he was on the peak of his career and he has never ran out of projects. Allegedly, the monetary offer and the future projects were too attractive to be rejected. SA made the move.
Although he might not have been as visible as before, he still had screen projects and his followers were still around. The lull time enabled him to fortify his personal life and if he wanted to, he could retire given that he has several investments.
The lure of acting resonates hard and SA found himself in the midst of negotiations. During the meeting, names of female celebrities were mentioned and the parties were shocked at the reaction of SA. The two female celebrities who were recommended to be SA’s co-stars have starred in their own groundbreaking project and from there have moved on to other movies, endorsements, and even indie films. Upon hearing the names, SA allegedly said, “Who are these ladies?”
With such blank reaction, the parties said that they will review the terms of the offer again and call for another meeting. For his first project, SA wanted a former co-star and the prized gem of the network. However, between now and the timetable set, much can happen. SA might do what a Former Hot celebrity (FH) did to the same network years ago. Despite the publicity and the project, FH no longer wanted to sign up.

Just Moving On

While thinktanks have spent time analyzing possible career strategies for talents, sometimes the best intentions do not deliver the desired results as time passes. Hence, hard as it may be to admit, failure has to be accepted and a new plan has to be drawn for a talent who has so much potential.
Sometime ago, Network Talent (NT) was nearing the peak of her career. She was very talented and versatile. NT is any networks dream, as she could act, sing, and dance. Most of all, she knew the ins and outs of the entertainment industry. To top it all, she had a steady fanbase. NT had all the elements that would make propel her foothold in the roster of talents of the network. Then, the bubble burst.
While NT was doing well in her partnership with Budding Celebrity (BC), her handlers thought she ought to be partnered with Hotshot Performer (HP). HP was cool and interesting. Like NT, he had his own loyal followers who were excited to see him perform with someone like NT. In a snap, BC was dropped and left with no projects. By contrast, NT started working with HP.
The move to give the partnership of NT and HP a chance was a risky one. At first, the two were well-received by fans and so much was expected from them. Then, the projects came. Their first venture as leads and the succeeding ones did not perform as expected. In a highly competitive network, where one miss can alter everything, the camps of NT and HP realized the careers of the two were on the line. Months passed and no news was heard if they would have any project together.
Circumstances are unkind and sooner than expected, NT and HP needed to go separate ways. NT’s camp had to think fast, as fans can easily change allegiance if they do not see their idols often. Then, everyone turned their eyes on BC. Quietly, BC was moving on in his career. He was back to his first love and gaining recognition. It was only a matter of time for him to be back on screen more often. BC was told that NT needed him again. The move to rekindle the partnership of BC and NT started rolling. The kindness of BC’s heart was moved and he agreed with the decision of the management. Hopefully, this time, NT’s career would once again soar and this time, with the right partner in BC.
