Marred Sisterhood

When Network Personality (NP) sets her eyes on a goal, one does not dare cross her path. Being in the industry for a significant number of years, NP has proven her loyalty and her capability to bring the network closer to the masses. Hence, she does have a certain level of influence in her department and even beyond the walls of her station. In other words, her instructions are commands that should be followed. Anyone caught not following orders might get a memo or be asked to leave.

One-time, Younger Network celebrity (YN) noticed that her show seems to be having a scarcity of materials they can use for their segments. YN has been hosting a program that thrives of materials coming from ordinary people. Emails, snail mail, phone messages, among others, are the primary sources of the script for her show.

The mystery was easily solved because YN learned that NP had given instructions the staff that once they receive messages pertaining to unique social conditions, such inquiries should be sent to her office. The show of YN, thus, suffered from the lack of materials. The lack was caused by NP’s intervention. What people could not understand is the shift in the direction of NP’s show, especially because YN had established her show of the same nature way ahead of NP’s.

Although they have to work together, YN has to be polite and respectful toward NP even if she feels offended by the actions of the older one. As NP is like a pillar of the station, YN could not really do anything. Besides, YN has always been known to be cool and calm but she can be as wise or even smarter than NP. Now, as much as possible, they would rather avoid each other. The situation is sad as both used to be very close friends.
