Sometimes, loyalty to a station can bring ideas and confidence to one’s head that even top management gets surprised at such attitude. To test if he would be listened to, Loyal Talent (LT) told his bosses that His Best Friend (HB) would make a better interpretation of a coveted role. The bosses listened to his pleading.
Loyalty is often rewarded with continuous television projects and movies. Sometimes, a station would even entrust a loyal talent with tasks other than acting. These opportunities provide room for the growth of the talent. Thus, acting can turn to hosting or even to directing. Other than having work, such opportunities are considered for staying in a certain network.
In the case of LT, he has been part of the talents who have increased the viewership of the various shows of the network. LT brings a certain level of interest because he can be creative and impressive at his chores. Simply, LT is a very reliable talent and valuable for the station. In terms of attitude toward co-workers, LT has had no rumors about having displeased his coworkers. He’s light to work with, which is probably why almost everyone in the network likes his disposition.
Nothing is perfect, even LT and one time, he raised a suggestion that made the bosses wonder about his motive. While HB is a competent talent whose skills can be tapped to address all genres of acting, some projects are not meant to be. Even her consistent rating for her projects was insufficient to persuade the bosses to consider her for the said role. Hence, LT’s suggestion was thumbed-down for the reason that Influential Woman (IW) was already promised the role. Besides, the bosses detected that LT might be having another reason why he was pushing HB and that was his disdain for IW.
What LT did not consider was that IW allegedly has a very close relationship with a more Powerful Insider (PI). Rumors about IW and PI would resurface whenever IW is given a high-profile project. This time, loyalty was not able to pull strings and thus, LT could only accept the management’s decision. HB would have to wait for her project, while IW is exploring her role to the hilt.
