Just Leveling Up the Game

Change has indeed come for the Newbie Actor (NA), who was hardly known in the industry a few years back. As one among hundreds of wannabees, NA tried his luck to be part of the roster of talents and he was easily noticed. When the network fancies a newcomer, the management makes sure that he/she gets ample support until the time when he/she proves to be a worthy investment. In case such new talent fails to draw the screaming fans, then the network merely drops the said talent.

When it comes to NA, he started with a very humble attitude. After all, he was alongside with better looking and more talented personalities, who are vying for that spot in the heart of the network. While NA did not make it to the coveted placement, he was given projects to see if he has the potential to become a star. At that time, NA even became involved with female talents, who have since moved on after they were linked to him.

His start was a bit shaky, as his acting was raw and required much work. Patiently, NA developed his acting skills and his effort was not unnoticed. Soon, the management gambled by pairing him with Pretty Celebrity (PC). Over the years, PC has been looking for the leading man who could help alleviate her career and increase her popularity. Together with Smooth Singer (SS), PC was paired off with NA. Fans had exciting times choosing between SS and PC or NA and PC. The love triangle was a sure way to generate interest for NA and SS. Then, comparisons started to emerge between NA and PC and a past Doomed Loveteam (DL). Thus, the network saw the potential of developing NA and PC as the latest loveteam. The effort of the management was rewarded as the pair brought in millions to the company.

As he was now one of the bankable stars of the network, people wondered if success would go into the head of NA. Unfortunately, people saw the change in NA the moment he started hanging around with PC. The most evident change was in the way NA was using English as his main language. Unlike before, when NA would answer in his native tongue, this time, he was using English left and right. Hearing NA respond in English proved a bit too much for people who have been working with him since he started. It made them uncomfortable, as they were not used to NA conversing in English. They only hoped that his attitude would not change to coincide with the bit of pride they could sense in NA whenever he spoke in English.
