As significant name in the industry, Prime Mover (PM) has established her reputation primarily based on her talent and her no-nonsense attitude when it comes to her craft. PM had no strong connections in the industry prior to her major breakthrough. All she had then was her talent and a song that changed her career, as her background was not really in music.
Outspoken when necessary, PM pursued her craft with one hit after another. Sometimes, she would even grant acting roles to show her other dimension. Throughout the years, although she had her fans, she kept her privacy and shied away from controversy. Nonetheless, her married life was a turning point, as no matter how hard she tried to keep that part of her life away from the limelight, controversy managed to creep into her relationship.
Now that all is well, time came for a show to pay tribute to PM. The researchers wanted to project PM from the eyes of her support staff. Thus, first in line were the drivers and the househelp. When PM found out, she expressed that she did not like the idea, and preferred that her struggles and triumphs be focused instead. Nonetheless, the researchers managed to interview the staff and they realized the reason PM was wary of their target respondents.
In the course of the interview, some members of the household staff candidly answered the questions. The researchers were shocked when they heard the responses. One mentioned that PM was very strict and their slight errors would be terribly reprimanded. Another said that their salaries were sometimes given late. Even food was a source of complaint. The helpers were made to eat canned goods. They were even told to plant in the garden and the harvest they obtain should be cooked to complement whatever dish they had. Sadly, most of the help could not stay longer than a couple of months. They felt that given the status of PM in the industry, their treatment was far less than expected.
Finally, as the researchers completed their data, they were at a loss as the information they obtained was far different from their expectations. Instead of a positive portrayal, PM ended up being the subject of complaints, as she was far from an ideal boss. The cold-hearted treatment, as based on the interviews, made the researchers realize the reason for the objection of PM. She was a horrible boss after all.
