Patience and perseverance as well as the motivation of a hungry mouth to feed made SA work harder. While she was cast in supporting roles, SA did not complain, as she had work. Soon, however, a network gambled on her and risked giving her a primetime role. Just like when she was starting, SA shone and the marked role sealed her in one of the most iconic roles in TV.
While her career was moving, her lovelife was going up and down. After PD, another child came, but the father left, which made SA a single parent again. Luck was still smiling at SA, as both her children did not give her problems as they grew up.
Given that her career is already stable, love was still a problem for SA. However, SA was enjoying the best of both worlds, as she was being seen by two nonshowbiz men, who have diverse backgrounds. Nonshowbiz Interest 1 (NI1) is younger and knows his role in the life of SA. That is, NI1 knows he’s around to make sure SA is physically satisfied, and he has no complaint. Then, Nonshowbiz Interest 2 (NI2) is much older and of Asian descent. NI2 is very wealthy, and adores SA. He showers her with expensive gifts, such as a car, jewelry, and other material things. SA knows she has to please him.
While the arrangement with both men is going smoothly, nothing is as simple as it seems. NI2 is very much married and the wife is not one who would tolerate the philandering ways of her husband. After finding out that SA is her husband’s mistress, the wife rushed to the home of SA, confronted her, and made a scene. Like one of her movies, SA, as the mistress, could not say anything, as the legal wife spewed harsh words. Then, the wife grabbed SA’s bags and jewelry, and left.
The scene went on, but no one said, “Cut!” It was real life. SA faced what she dreaded most and she could not do anything about it. When told that she could act on what the wife did, SA refused, as she did not want another scandal and the press would feast on her private life. Worse, SA knew that if she were involved in a public scandal, producers and networks might be wary to get her services. After all, NI2 might have connections who would be sympathetic to the wife. Thus, SA has to live with the consequences of her choices in silence.
