Kim Chiu sent this private message to the Cebu Daily News Twitter account in response to a CDN report about her rude behavior when she refused the request of a CDN staff to have her photo taken while she was at the Cebu Memorial Park (Cempark) to visit her mother’s grave on Nov. 1.
This is reprinted as is: “hi im familiar with the face of the “girl” who asked my dad yesterday… she can just ask for a picture, its fine with me.. but she asked for an interview, i still have to ask permision sa manager ko kasi all they know is im in my private vacation.. picture is fine.. its super ok. i accommodate a lot of times yesterday, so please get your fact straight.. dont make up stories…”
(Note: the CDN editor did not ask for an interview, only to take her photo. That was why she told a woman, presumably her aide, to tell the CDN editor to “grab the photo from IG (instagram),” which we did.)

Such An Impolite Lady
Behavior indicates breeding as well. For instance, when a celebrity refuses to mingle with fans for no obvious reason at all and walks off pouting, then his/her followers might be turned off. Another example is overhearing celebrities talk to their elders rudely. Regardless of reason, disrespect for the elderly is a big no-no. Still, such rudeness would always reflect on the celebrity.
Sometime ago, the network decided to pair off Showbiz Heir (SH) with Pretty Starlet (PS). Although SH had a girlfriend from another station, the network insisted on his pairing with PS. After all, the partner was not in the same network as SH. After going full blast with the loveteam, not much was heard on SH and his girlfriend. Followers assumed that he could have broken up to focus on building his career and loveteam.
One time, SH was seen walking towards his car, which was parked within the vicinity of his network. A few fans were gathered, and SH gamely posed for selfies. Behind him were PS and Her Parent (HP). PS and HP walked fast, which indicated that they were not interested to mingle with their fans. Then, right within their path was a small group, which was headed by SH’s Feisty Relative (FR).
Given that SH and PS were being groomed as a loveteam, their fans were keen on seeing their touchy-feely behavior in public. During that afternoon, fans were disappointed with how PS and HP were reacting to people. Not only did PS refuse to mingle, she and HP inadvertently walked as though they did not want to be recognized. However, they missed out on someone very important. As they walked quickly, they did not even bother to smile at FR. It was like FR was invisible. As luck would have it, FR was in a good mood, but had it been an ordinary day, PS might have gotten a lesson on respecting elders regardless of their status.
