While helping the less fortunate is a noble endeavor and definitely admirable, but, people could not help but doubt the intention of the celebrity-sponsor. Sadly, sincerity is often questioned especially when an outreach program of a celebrity has media coverage and certain actions of a celebrity become questionable.
When two celebrity actresses conducted their outreach programs, their attitude and actions during their respective activities could not be helped but compared. As soon as Celebrity One (CO) decided she wanted to forego a lavish celebration for an outreach program, several people raised eyebrows, as CO seemed too good to be true. Any young person would prefer a get-together with peers on top of any other activity recommended by the network. However, CO insisted her wish should be followed and she even insisted on not having any media coverage. CO did get her wish, but only partly. Photos of her outreach emerged in social media and people close to her planned a big celebration for her. CO had no choice but to go with the flow.
When Celebrity Two (CT) conducted her outreach, her handlers made sure the media covered her every move at her charity event. Her handlers contacted a particular beneficiary and even invited parents to come along. Being a famous celebrity, CT was fretted upon her arrival at the venue. CT was overwhelmed at the people who hugged her and tried to be close to her. Since she was coming from a shooting, CT was a bit cranky and was not pleasantly pleased at having to smell some beneficiaries who smelled like the sun.
To the shock of the people in front of her, CT asked her assistant to bring alcohol and at that moment, CT started to apply alcohol. Sensing that the action of CT might offend the guests, CT was asked to stay in the holding area until she would be called. When the cameras for the media coverage arrived, CT stepped out of her area, gave her gifts, and mingled with the guests. CT was even crying and said she pitied the children. Of course, those who witnessed her alcohol incident earlier could only admire the skill that CT has, which is to act convincingly in front of the cameras. As for the sincerity of CT, that is another story.
