Success could really get into one’s head and rub off on other people. When someone ventures into showbiz and is lucky to have a career, much is expected in terms of being gracious to people around him/her. A celebrity is often burdened with the image that he/she projects in front of the camera. The good performers will manage to convince viewers that what he/she shows in her roles is the same as in his/her real life. Hence, the public will expect that the celebrity will still behave in the same way even without cameras rolling.

This mindset has led to much disappointment among ordinary people who still believe that all celebrities will always have that amiable personality they exude in front of the cameras. During a visit on the set, Pretty Performer (PP) was introduced to one of the suppliers (OS), who was much elated at meeting PP in person. Expecting PP to be warm and accommodating, OS and the person who introduced them were a bit startled at the nonchalant attitude of PP. It was as if they were not there at all. Nary was a smile or eye contact given. PP quickly nodded quickly and moved along.

Obviously very disappointed, OS was relieved a bit when A Worker (AW) on the set saw what happened and shared some thoughts on the attitude of PP. AW said that PP was always like that, snobbish, when cameras are not rolling. It seems that PP was moving in a world where the ordinary people around her are not worthy of her smile. Given the reputation and achievement of PP, anyone would want to have a selfie with her, but given her attitude, no one dared to do that for fear that PP would snub or even reprimand them.

Perhaps, PP should have a refresher course on attitude and manners. When PP was starting out, she did not have any known connection with any bigwig in the network. She rose from the ranks until she was noticed. At that time, she had to be nice to people around her, as these were the people who could make her look good in front of the camera. Imagine how a celebrity would look like if there were no makeup artists, lightning personnel, assistants, and other support staff. Of course, fans are included.

After accomplishing much at her young age, PP has exhibited indifference towards ordinary folks. Some try to justify her attitude as a result of her major achievement, yet others refuse to let her get away with such airs. Hence, because she is not as warm as other celebrities are in her station and specifically, in her projects, no one dares to approach her. Ordinary people on the set do not mind her anymore. They focus on work and not let her attitude get on their nerves. However, when a celebrity is warm and friendly towards the staff, they reciprocate with kindness.
