Philippine elections is fast approaching. Candidates have been positioning themselves and making their presence felt for months now. Again, we expect a deluge of faces from various persuasions, both fit and unfit, usually coming from familiar surnames (political dynasty), familiar backgrounds (actors, comedians, bold stars, and the like )
Most of those who take the plunge from showbiz to politics are those whose stars have dimmed and thus have become inactive. They believe that getting elected to public posts is a lucrative fall back option. Indeed.
These people capitalize on their name recall and what’s left of their drawing power believing that these will spell votes that will bring them to their goals. They go for it despite the fact that they are (generally) ill-equipped for office – driven only by alleged ‘public service.’ But statistically speaking, nothing can be further from the truth.
Local politics have become a conduit for most candidates to milk the government and enrich themselves in office. Public coffers are treated as personal funds to gain power and privilege. It is allegedly for this reason why Pretty Actress PA is seen as heading in that direction.
PA, although popular, has not been as busy with projects as she used to be. For the longest time, talks have it that she’s been gearing up for political office. PA’s critics are one in saying that her lackluster career is her driving force. Reportedly, with showbiz no longer that sustainable for her, may PA believes that politics seems to be her fall back.
This may be the reason why PA has been posting photos of a Certain Province CP. In her posts on social media, PA declares how she is awed and wowed by the beauty of CP. She seems really vent on her plan. How true are reports that PA had already registered in CP as some local folks have allegedly witnessed?
Hmmm, with her charm and the support of a some very close to her, PA might just make it. Take a bet?
