Shoppers and mall spectators recently had a surprise treat when 40 statuesque and totally stunning candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 flocked to the Glorietta Mall for a refreshing afternoon of fun and shopping for sexy jeans.

The mall event was a treat from JAG Jeans, which has been supporting Bb. Pilipinas for two years and now serves as a gold sponsor of the pageant. Wearing fashion staple white tees with Bb. Pilipinas logo paired with sexy skinny JAG jeans, the candidates eagerly scoured the JAG boutique in Glorietta 2 for the perfect pieces to flaunt their curves.

After the shopping spree, an impromptu Q&A portion happened inside the flagship store as the girls gamely answered questions thrown at them by the media. Pageant contestants turned the store into a mini fashion show ramp by showing off their curves in their newly scored jeans paired with tops. Most of them revealed that they have been looking forward to the event and have been listing their JAG must-haves in advance.

Not only did JAG provide an enjoyable experience for the binibinis, it also highlighted the enviable Filipina bods. Looking at how the jeans fit their figures, everyone could tell that JAG is really made for the Filipina curves, which deserve international acclamation. With shopped items in hand, they exited the store, waved for the cameras and chorused, “Thank you, JAG!”

The candidates also invited their fans to vote them for the She’s So JAG Award 2014, an online contest on JAG Jeans Facebook page. Fans have a big influence in determining the She’s So JAG Award 2014 winner through the online voting process which counts as 50% of the score. The other 50% of the score will be based on Jag Creative Team judging results. Judging will be determined on the basis of who best exemplifies the JAG image selected from the Top 10 candidates with the most 'likes'. The She’s So JAG Award 2014 winner will receive Php50,000 plus a year supply of JAG merchandise. While one lucky fan will receive two VIP tickets to the Bb. Pilipinas Coronation Night plus an iPhone 5.

The She’s So JAG Award 2014 is just a teaser of things to come for JAG, the denim brand befitting crowned beauties.

Not Honorable

You may name the most popular/notorious vices anyone can have, this Veteran Actress VA has them all. Name it, VA does it with so much passion - chain smoking, gambling, drinking - a bad combination that guarantees to ruin one’s health and life - especially when someone is struggling financially. No wonder, she is in the same pit she has been for the longest time.

When abroad, VA has gone insensitive by the kind of treatment and label she gets from some friends and fans alike. Reportedly, these people were once very helpful to her, but had grown weary from giving her support allegedly because VA was not helping herself at all.

Truly, if not for a few select friends who know her well and support her unconditionally, observers quip that VA would have been forgotten long ago. Yet these friends keep egging her to bounce back, because they knew she still has it. After all, VA is an acting heavyweight. Her achievements speak volumes and unparalleled to this day.

It was for that reason and the support system behind her that VA was given another chance at her career. Sadly though, in spite of all that, she seemed to be consumed by her vices that jeopardized her work in a big way. Ergo, projects began to dwindle again.

But after months of dormancy, lucky VA was once again offered some projects. One of which pairs her with In demand Actor IA who idolizes her and was only too happy to co-star with VA. However, recent reports point to VA behaving badly again.

VA was allegedly seen at a wine store buying alcohol. She reportedly paid with her credit cards which were declined twice. She was asked if she had cash, she replied she had no cash. An old woman who looked like a fan willingly offered to pay. But VA looked wasted to even acknowledge.

On top of that, she has accumulated mounting debts from IA, who in the first place had already offered to pay for her condominium rental. Yet VA hasn’t shown professionalism in her work. Reports have it that during taping, her presence is hardly felt because she was always “not herself.”
