Majorly Misunderstood
After several tumultuous relationships, people thought that diligent actress (DA) finally found her man in the scion (SO) of one of the well-loved actors in the industry. Their relationship was welcomed by their friends and family. After all, both known to be obedient to their parents, and serious with their craft. Within a few months of their public relationship, the announcement of their break up was a surprise.
What caused the break up?
What caused the break up?
During a vacation with friends, DA kidded one of her good-looking friends who was with his girlfriend. DA said, “Get a room. I wanna join.” Upon hearing what DA said, SO got mad at the joke, and thought that DA was flirting too much, they got into a fight. It was so bad that SO called DA a whore in Filipino. Shocked at what she heard, she dared him to repeat what he said, and he did. For several times, he called her “p**a ka!"
The major misunderstanding of DA and SO could have stemmed from the lack of understanding of each other, since their relationship was still new, perhaps? The incident that happened tested their character, and sadly, the relationship was too frail to be saved at that point.

Marian Rivera Cuts Ties with Manager Popoy Caritativo
Marian
Rivera and her manager, Popoy Caritativo have mutually decided to sever
professional ties spanning almost a decade. The split shocked fans and
followers of Marian who thought that nothing, as in nothing could
dismantle such a relationship with her manager Popoy whom she lovingly
called “Momsy.”
No reasons were given for the split, but according to a reliable source that early on, there had already been previous uncomfortable issues between talent and manager. For one, Marian had been persistent about marriage plans to boyfriend Dingdong Dantes any date of December this year – some say it’s December 8, at Manila Cathedral (Feast of Immaculate Conception thus the name MARIAN) but no one knew for sure.
The
marriage issue was something that Popoy was so against at since he
believes strongly that it will jeopardize all his career plans for
Marian. He told her to wait a little more since marriage is just a
document anyway, and it can wait anytime, but opportunities lost after
marriage will be incalculable. All that did not seem to sit well with
Marian, believing that her age and length of her relationship with
Dingdong should be enough for them to end up at the altar soon.
It
would be remembered that the couple have been spending long vacations
together here and abroad more often than previous years, making it very
stressful for Popoy to efficiently handle Marian’s schedules which were
getting haywire everytime. He believes that her desire to tie the knot
with Dingdong would only aggravate these matters.
Reportedly,
both Marian and Dingdong are hell-bent to have their marriage settled
as soon as possible, as both want to start a family together without
necessarily leaving showbiz and their commitments.
These
and some other personal issues might have taken its toll to an
otherwise “rock-solid” tandem of Marian and Popoy. The split could just
be the bitter pill they had no choice but to swallow.

Effortless?
Image courtesy of Fashion PULIS reader
This public action attracted various reactions, as TA and her babe were
still fresh from the controversy involving her family. Her family
thinks she is still an innocent child, and portrays her as a helpless
and vulnerable lady. How would they react when they find out that TA has
been playing nanny to her partner’s kids?
Although the kids had their
nannies, TA was seen following the kids around the store. Perhaps, TA
thinks she can develop a close relationship with her partner’s children
by literally being there with them. Of course, the kids are too young to
notice. During that moment, it seemed that TA was acting the role of
the nannies. At least TA is giving it a try.

Letter from a Reader: The End Did Not Justify the Meanness
This has been bugging me for quite a while and I just can’t
let it pass without writing to you.
My friend, Cara auditioned for a major contest MC on
television which will be aired soon. While she was singing, she was so good
that her fellow auditioneers were clapping their hands in appreciation.
Unfortunately, she was not chosen, but she wasn't bitter about it.
After that, she met up with her friend HF who's a member of
the production team of MC. Cara told HF that she did not pass the audition. She
was shocked by the revelation of HF that MC's selection process/ system is just
like that of their other reality shows - that contestants have already been
chosen or pre-selected long before the announcement of audition. In short, the
alleged audition is just for show because everything is already a done deal!
My very
disheartened friend asked HF why is it that they
have such a very unfair system? HF answered that they could not do
anything
about it since they are just there to follow orders. When asked who
selects the
‘done deal’ contestants, HF answered that it's the producers who do the
selection, and “we just take orders from
them.” Cara asked what happens to those who pass the "mock auditions,”
she was told it's direk DK who takes care of that aspect.
It's just so sad FP, that they had to resort to fooling us
this way, their loyal viewers. I feel for my friend, and to others like her who
only dream and want to be given a chance. The least they ask is to be treated
fairly, right? Cara and the rest are made
fools – the legit auditioneers being fried in their own fat by this network .
They don’t realize the hardships that a contestant had to deal with just to
answer their call for auditions - especially the poor ones who live in the
provinces who have to borrow fare money, getting hungry, falling in line for
hours under the extreme heat of the sun – only to be told that EVERYTHING IS
ALL FOR SHOW?!!
And then they have the nerve to show the aerial view of the
kilometric lines of auditioning contestants, to brag that their much-hyped show
had attracted that much crowd! Must they always milk the poor to satisfy their
greed? Enough of their lies!
Thank you for giving me a space here, FP. More power to you.
Sincerely,
Gigi

Gia Barretto Echoes Mother Inday's Sentiments, Refutes Brother Joaquin's
Source: www..philstar.com
I respect that you do not want to be part of our family. At this point, we welcome it.
Not at any point do I ever recall us forcing you to be part of us but we have never also alienated you during the times when you wanted to be with us. Even during the times when you battled with one of us.
I say us because you have time and time again made extreme efforts to push us — mom, dad and all of us — away. You have hurt us in ways that put the word decency to shame, you have had no rules when you attacked us. If the attack were physical then it would be bearable. Bruises heal. But the attack has always been vicious, below the belt and so evil that the wound borne from it cannot heal. It is done repeatedly and unsparingly with permanent damage in mind. You have tried to put mom and dad to shame with empty allegations without thinking that you, whether you like it or not came from them. You ridicule them in front of friend, strangers and us. And, you expect us to just take it.
Your claims of financial support for this family have no basis, because dad always managed to provide. For the record, we may not have been so rich but we were never poor. 1. We live in big beautiful houses 2. Slept in carpeted, air-conditioned rooms, 3. Food galore. 4. Put in an exclusive school. 5. Members of exclusive country clubs. 6. We each have our own yayas, yours even a midwife. 7. Driven by chauffeurs.
Long before you were born and even after you were in show business. At 12 years old, could you have duplicated or taken over this kind of a style, with your meager earnings? We did not have an excess of things but we had what we needed. You were never forced to get into show business. I remember very clearly how you ran to the middle of the road when dad said “no” to you entering show business. He believed that school was important. How sad that you cannot distinguish the lies that you make up and reality.
No Gretchen, it was not you who helped us during rough spots. It was Claudine. You could not in the life of you convince her that our parents were abusive ones. It was difficult for you to accept that there was somebody who actually had pure intentions of helping where help was needed. You once told me and I quote, “I just disappear when things get tough.” You have become great at these disappearing acts. Claudine made an effort to be there always. Just a few corrections: Claudine paid for my med at UBC just as she paid for a lot of our nieces and nephews education. She gave them (our nieces and nephews), iPads, iPhones, concert tickets, clothes and so much more. She spoiled all of us not because she needed to but she wanted to. She unlike you, has never equated her value with money or material possessions.
JJ comments on TV are only credible in as far as he is caught between a rock and a hard place, because he is in your employ. It honestly pains me to see that you could put him in this situation. To pick between that and his parents.
I echo mom’s words, “Stop it.” We get it. We know you don’t want us so please hear us now...”We do not want you, too.” Please stop hounding us like an attack dog. We will admit defeat if you just leave us in peace. Just totally disappear from our lives without leaving a trail of vile and misery. Please.
Enough is enough! Leave us alone. Leave my family alone.
