Is high profile personality HP quietly dealing with his personal dilemma? Through the years, this life survivor HP has defined himself as the product of countless life’s battles that were fought and conquered through blood, sweat and tears. HP saw them all: defeat, victory, and defeat again. But each time, he came out better than the first. He keeps saying that his life story is one for the books, very MMK’ish  as others say.

As a struggling artist, he quit school to pursue his dreams…. big dreams. Amid hunger and want, armed with only determination, he inched his way to get to where he is now. 

He knew he had it, the charm to woo the masses, and he capitalized on it. The mostly needy and gullible masses became his staunch  supporters and defenders to this day. Although they have dwindled in numbers, still they are what constitutes HP’s support base.

But at the rate HP’s career paces right now, looks like not all is rosy and encouraging. His show SH performance is underwhelming - hasn’t shown any progress inspite of the pricey and major make-over done. Described by critics as  a “rehash of the old,”  SH’s audience rating remains single digit for a long time. To be fair to HP, he works hard for SH, but seems the public is not drawn anymore.  

At present, there are talks that HP is not in a comfortable state with his network bosses. Allegedly, there are certain contract obligations that were not met and that have only been advantageous to HP. The low ratings aspect is not at all helping to assuage the situation.

Some sources say that HP is having problems with liquidity. This after his huge investment projects have remained at a standstill. HP tried to address the problem by disposing off some of his properties for cash - something must be really serious.

Observers say what has been obvious all along, HP’s flamboyant attitude is the culprit. He thinks nobody can outgive him. Still others see this as a foregone conclusion - a foreboding - HP had it too much, too soon. All things said, the bottomline is: Nothing is ever permanent.

Teen actress TA has got what it takes to make it in showbiz industry –  talent, pretty face and a happy disposition. For one so young, she has already proven herself worthy to be called an actress with quite a number of awards and recognitions given her.

Unlike some other stars her age, TA is a lot more passionate in her craft, more daring and competitive when it comes to unleashing her potentials. Apart from acting, she can competently do hosting, as well. TA takes her craft seriously, and knows what she wants. People who know her say she is independent,  responsible and matured. Which is why she has gained the respect of some industry veterans and followers, too. 

But when TA tried her hand at singing, not a few eyebrows were raised. But she didn't mind the skeptics and critics, and went on with rigorous preparations. She had voice lessons, a must for anyone going the musical foray. Her first single turned so well, vindicating herself in the process.

But  sometimes no matter how careful one is, he/she is bound to commit blunders when it is least expected. At the grand launch of her music album at a variety show, TA did a live number of her popular single. The well-prepared number was positioned towards the show’s finale to give it more impact. But it was such a disgusting number - she was singing out of tune with mostly flats. She failed miserably and the tension was very visible on her face. She tried hard to recover, but unfortunately, she couldn’t redeem herself. 

TA banged right there! 

The director was furious - off the air he shouted at TA. He blamed her for that unforgivable blunder, for  committing it right at the very launch of her album. Shrinking from embarrassment, TA took it all.

Kicking Her Brattiness

If you ask anyone popular star which will they prefer to do: a teleserye or a television commercial TVC, chances are, majority would prefer the latter. Why? Because as opposed to teleserye which requires tons of work and really long hours of taping, TVC’s are usually shot in a day or two at most and pays a lot bigger. Which is why stars strive hard to clinch endorsement deals - less work, more pay, more exposure.

But being a product endorser comes with big responsibility. You are to protect your image and that of the company and product/s you are endorsing. Anything that sullies an endorser’s image will boomerang on her/him sooner than expected. And that includes being able to work harmoniously with people within the TVC’s production. All that and more entail deep commitment. Suffice it to say that nothing’s like a free lunch all the way.

Actress and endorser AE is an in demand product endorser. In one of her endorsement shoots, the hairstylist HS noticed that AE was not in her best element. By her expression, it was obvious that she was pissed. AE was so fussy and kept doing things that made HS work more difficult. When HS asked what was bothering her, AE replied, “ I’m okay.”

But any HS familiar with stars’ quirks knows only too well. HS sensed that her annoyance was about the styling he was doing on her. HS went on subtle defense and said that he was following instructions to do a certain peg for her. Then he continued working on her. Being at vantage point, HS got curious and looked at what AE was typing on her celfone. The message read that AE was complaining to her road manager RM that she was so pissed with HS.

HS was of course outraged, AE’s complaints are way beyond HS control. Had she been more prudent, AE could have asked for an HS of her choice before the shoot, but she didn’t. Instead AE chose to take her rants and gripes on him. Poor, helpless HS. - but make no mistake.. HS wanted to teach her a lesson. Toward the last part of the shoot, HS vented his ire on AE and intentionally burned her hair! Damage was quite big that AE had to have her hair cut short.

Moral lesson: As with waiters who will spit on your food in revenge, do not ever mess with your stylists.

News: Shamcey Supsup Is Getting Married

Former Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up, Shamcey Supsup will be engaged and set to tie the knot with model/businessman, Lloyd Lee this year 2013. 

Shamcey and her Filipino-Chinese boyfriend have set the engagement date on June 16 via Ting Hun, a traditional Chinese ceremony.  In Chinese, this symbolizes that both families formally accept their new son/daughter-in-law into the family. Wedding is set on December 29. 

During their television guestings last year, both Shamcey Supsup and her low-key  boyfriend had made known their plans to get married in 2013. 

In several interviews, Supsup said she had already found the perfect man to spend the rest of her life with. She said she knew that Lloyd was the right guy  the first time she met him on her birthday before the Binibining Pilipinas pageant two years ago. 

She revealed that everything went so fast. Both developed romantic feelings for each other within a week of first meeting. And became a couple after a month of courtship. 

Shamcey said she prayed hard for a boyfriend, even set such high standards. And God answered her. She says Lloyd who keeps her grounded is her first boyfriend. Shamcey is now 26.

Last year, she received a diamond ring from Lloyd, a deep commitment of their love for each other.  It was a “promise” ring that symbolizes his pure intentions and love for her.
