The Capriciousness of the Actress
Images courtesy of www.ludix.com
Nowadays, the trend is to give the spotlight to ordinary people who have resemblance to celebrities. Most celebrities do not take their look-alikes seriously, and take to them as part of their popularity. Some would even pose with their “double” just for the fun of it.
However, young controversial talent (CT) showed the opposite of her sweet image when she was told that the girl imitating her had a very close resemblance to her. Off camera, CT was asked if she could approach the girl who came as a guest in their show. Instead of just being game, CT adamantly refused and said, “I do not like it - not funny at all!!” Then, she turned her back and walked away.
Someone remarked that CT probably did not want to have a face-off with the girl because she probably worried that her alleged physical enhancements might become even more noticeable. After all, CT has always stuck to her guns that she has not undergone anything drastic to fix any part of her face and body.
Strangely, with all her current controversy, CT seems to be portrayed as the underdog and the “victim,” but in such a simple task as approaching a contestant, she had to be a KJ and refused.

Awkward Flight Companions

It is a fact: We achieve nothing on our own. We feel good when our hard work yields success, but we should also be grateful enough to acknowledge the people who are part of it. Our victories also belong to them who were with us along the way, helping us curve that label we call success.
However, this situation is not the case for a popular public servant (PS). Sometime ago, PS was introduced to a very influential player in showbusiness (VI) by a powerful politician (PP). Although already known as the likely heir to the throne of his well-loved father, PS needed to attract the masses, and get away from the dad’s shadow. Having ties with VI, who was about to take the plunge in politics was already battle half won.
When VI’s venture into politics abruptly ended, PP continued to be with PS patiently helping him build up his career. Such had deepened their relationship that extended even to the level of family. As the years passed, PS became a household name in no time. PS had evolved from a plain nobody to a well-respected young public official.
Due to some recent events, PS had a falling out with PP. Although at first both were vocal that their personal relationships will not be jeopardized by their professional issues, the actions of PS prove otherwise.
On a recent flight, seating arrangements for PP and PS were numbered next to each other. Unknowingly, PP sat on the seat of PS. When PS arrived, he was cold and instructed an attendant to ask PP to vacate the said seat. PP obliged as requested. When PP saw it was PS who would be his seatmate, he greeted him “Hello!” PS only nodded.
That must have been an awkward flight as PP was almost ignored by PS, who at some point, he considered almost like his son.

Just Honor Your Commitment

Young talent (YT) committed to co-hosting a segment in a game show of a major network. When YT arrived on the set, she was sluggish and looked wasted. Worse, her lack of sleep was very evident. When all the celebrity guests were already made-up, YT was the next person for make-up. She refused, saying she was not feeling well.
A production staff tried to coax YT into getting in the mood, but YT insisted she was not okay. Someone yelled at the make-up artist to fix YT asap. On hearing this, YT went to the toilet and threw up. When she returned to the set, she was holding on to an inhaler, wearing her shades, and crying. Then, she begged off, said she really could not do her task, and bid farewell to the staff.
Why was YT feeling so sick that day and made people wait in vain? Allegedly, YT attended a party the night before and got home early morning of next day. Everyone knows that a party always requires high energy, but the best part usually happens when the party is over.
While YT is understandably at the peak of her teenage life, it is her right to live it the way she wants, but commitments are commitments - big or small, they should be honored at all cost. For someone who's so new in the industry, it is ironic that YT is behaving this way. On the other hand, her attitude may also stem from the fact that she entered the business on a strong backing of a more famous relative FR - and that whatever breaks she is given is always attributable to FR. As it was once said, "Anything you fought for to get, you will fight for to keep."
And while at it, perhaps YT can learn a thing or two from FR as far as discipline and commitment to the profession are concerned. FR rose from the ranks, by dint of hard work, perseverance and professionalism - molded through the years. YT should employ a no nonsense self-improvement if she wants a fabulous career like FR, and enjoy all the perks in the process.
Desire is the key to motivation, but it is determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek. – Mario Andretti

Poll: What Can You Say about the Temporary Protection Order (TPO) Filed by Kris Aquino against James Yap
The TPO will be good for 30 days from its issuance, although after a hearing, the petition also asks that the protection order be made permanent.
“Protection orders” are a provision of the law against violence against women and their children to protect victims of domestic violence from further harassment or harm by their spouses or partners.
In the petition, Kris asked the court to order Yap to stay away from her, her 5-year-old son Bimby and any household member, keep a distance of at least 100 meters, and to stay away from her residence, school, place of employment or any place frequented by her and her son.
As detailed in the petition, during a visit to Kris’ condominium unit last December to pick up his son as part of his twice-weekly visitations with Bimby, Yap entered his former wife’s bedroom and made “overt sexual advances,” which Kris vigorously resisted, provoking Yap to “utter mean and malicious statements” in the face of rejection.
The petition cited that James acted “as if he was still entitled to his matrimonial rights,” even if they are no longer married, forcing himself on her in full view of their son.
Horrified by the scene, which was followed by a heated argument, Bimby told his father to leave the room and to “stop hurting” his mom, the petition added.
The petition also mentioned that Bimby had even positioned himself between his parents, and begged his mother to “tell him to go away.” Since then, the petition said, the 5-year old has exhibited signs of being highly upset and agitated whenever he is in his father’s company or when he hears his voice on the phone.
“The physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and moral harm and injury foisted (on that day) was occasioned by the unfettered access of respondent Yap on the household and persons of the petitioners,” the petition noted.
Kris and James’ marriage was finally deemed annulled last year, with a settlement of several properties and a “hefty sum” going to Yap. The petition also states that despite the grant of twice-weekly visitation rights to the professional basketball player, Yap showed hardly any interest in seeing Bimby, getting together with the boy for a maximum of 10 times in a year.
Kris is represented by counsel, the law firm Chavez, Miranda, Aseoche, headed by former Solicitor General Frank Chavez.
