Determined Girl

Nothing much has changed. When newbies justify their entry into showbiz, first, they would say they are interested in showing off their interests, such as singing, dancing, acting. Eventually, the truth comes out and they admit that they want to improve the lives of their families. Some senior artists would subsequently retort that showbusiness should not be the answer to elevating the lives of family members. The advice is for those wannabees to go back to school.

Determination cannot stop any child from pursuing his/her showbiz dream. Even if the child does not have the looks or talents, their self-confidence and poverty are strong factors to tryout in auditions until the child sees the light leading to his/her dreams.

Determined Girl (DG) is no different. DG’s drive to get her share of the limelight has led to opportunities and favor from management. DG did her best in each project assigned to her. The starts shone on DG, as she found love with Cute Colleague (CC). CC, realizing that DG was more popular and busier, remained in the background. Meanwhile, DG would share how she has made financial choices by giving up her wants for her needs.

Fans loved DG and CC, as he knew his place in her life. Then, one day, Major Change (MC) entered the picture. Nothing to fret about as CC accepted MC was bound to be an integral part of DG’s career. Fans believed DG and CC were going towards forever. A few kinks here and there as DG had to answer intrigues of CC’s being linked to pretty actresses. CC assured DG. Years later, forever disappeared.

Blindsiding fans, DG said a significant statement. Speculations abound, such as accusing a third party on both sides, and even implicating CC had dangerous liaisons that DG could no longer fathom. However, sources say that nothing romantic was the reason. DG simply chose her career over love. DG has dreams for her family and her own needs, unfortunately, will have to be in the backseat for now. She’s the breadwinner and her focus will be on fulfilling that responsibility.
