Costly Oversight

Boyish Talent (BT) found himself in the middle of a dream. Over his years in the entertainment industry doing guestings, the break was elusive. Timing was key. When the life-changing break came, he was excited to have the rare opportunity that had eluded him. BT’s life was about to change. His relations were excited for him as well given that they knew his dream was materializing.

One day, as BT was reaping the benefits he long deserved, he again found himself in the middle of a dream, but this time, he was in for a rude awakening. BT apparently took things for granted and thought he could get the best of both worlds. Before BT could fully realize his happiness, fate stopped his smile. His world crumbled.

Love was his downfall. BT met Female Fatale (FF). BT and FF were having their fun and threw caution into the wind. FF, meanwhile, felt things had to move, and thus made a clean break from any impediment that would limit their happiness. However, she was caught in a major lie, cover-up, and oversight.

As FF and BT were aware they might lead to something more interesting, they agreed to take things as they happen. BT assured FF he had no complications and she believed him. So, she played along. They subsequently agreed to cover their electronic tracks. After all, many celebrity secrets were leaked from cellphones that were stolen or were up for repair. For whatever reason, BT did not meet that agreement. He lied about his true status and the fact that he kept possible evidence against him.

As the cliché says, time is the ultimate truth teller and it is,
