In 2016, McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson joined ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). Although they have met prior to PBB, their closeness developed within the walls of the series. Viewers started to notice their chemistry and the network realized a possible loveteam was in the offing. McLisse was coined and subsequently recognized with several awards. However, the two did not confirm a real relationship to the disappointment of fans. The two were even accused of merely playing along to gain followers.

Despite the intrigue that surrounded their relationship, the two indeed became a couple. However, unfollowing each other’s social media in 2018 led to speculations that their relationship was over. The two moved on and continued with their careers.

In 2020, de Leon and Joson surprised fans with photos that indicated they were back in each other’s arms. However, Joson’s sudden departure from showbiz and going overseas puzzled fans. Joson kept her social media account full of photos showing her trim body until eagle-eyed followers realized some photos were allegedly not new. In showbiz, an actress taking a showbiz break leads to pregnancy speculations. The camps of de Leon and Joson remained silent on the matter.

In 2021 came the revelation, that is, they were now proud parents of a baby daughter. They even formed a business just for their child. It seemed that all was well with the family of three.

In the following months until late 2022, the two posted family photos. Then, sometime during the last quarter, social media became the tipping point, that is, the mysterious disappearance or deletion, perhaps, of couple photos. Sources alerted Fashion PULIS on the alleged breakup of the couple.

In a December 2022 Instagram post, de Leon captioned his photo with his daughter with ‘Lagi mong tatandaan na mahal kita.’ That caption prompted reactions and assumptions that the two were having issues. Later that month, a photo of de Leon with Social Media influencer Mary Joy Santiago started making rounds. Incidentally, Joson was a follower of the IG account of Santiago, but has already unfollowed her.

Opening 2023 was the rumor about de Leon and Santiago. Fans ganged up on Santiago and accused her as the third party that caused the breakup of McLisse. Santiago inadvertently confirmed the breakup of de Leon and Joson by revealing that talking with the actor happened only after his relationship was over. Breaking his silence, de Leon launched several posts. He revealed he and Joson were over, apologized to people who may have been hurt, and revised his caption in his last photo with his daughter. Further, he said that no third party caused the breakup as he admitted giving up as he could no longer handle the heavy problem. Meanwhile, Joson has kept silent over the matter.
