After weeks of speculations, a reliable source has confirmed that Chiz Escudero and Heart Evangelista have decided to take different paths. According to the source, the actress has already given permission to her close friends to confirm her current status.
The relationship of Heart and Chiz began when the late Miriam Santiago introduced the two. The Ongpauco family is close to Santiago, who was a colleague of Escudero in the political world. At that time, Evangelista had just broken off from her relationship with Daniel Matsunaga, and Escudero was granted an annulment. That was in 2012.
In 2013, the relationship was in full blast and was tagged as a ‘you and me against the world romance,’ given that Evangelista’s family was not warm to the idea of her new relationship. Love and determination prevailed, as the two were married in Balesin in 2015, a day after Evangelista’s birthday.
The two went on to pursue their careers. Evangelista honed her art skills and eventually collaborated with various artists, including Brandon Boyd of Incubus. Meanwhile, Escudero became Governor of Sorsogon and returned to the Senate in 2022. The public followed and enjoyed the collaboration of the couple in her videos.
In mid-2022, followers noticed that Escudero no longer appeared in the videos of Evangelista as often as before. Then, during the GMA Grand Ball in July, many noticed the body language of the couple. This incident fueled rumors that something was not right. Evangelista would later post videos that seemed to hint that something was indeed wrong. Months later, Evangelista dropped ‘Escudero’ and was seen no longer wearing their wedding ring.
The reason was not divulged.
