Touched by Persistence

With the pandemic still having no end in sight, work in the entertainment industry remains limited. Others who have maintained their work status are assured of financial stability, whereas talents who took breaks or ended their contracts have a difficult time getting back into the job market. Luckily, others have remained optimistic and dared to enter new arenas.
When Idle Actor (IA) realized that he needed a source of income, he started disposing of his properties and assets that came from his hard work in the industry. As IA is between jobs, finding a suitable project seemed bleak. Nonetheless, IA had an ace up his sleeve. Persistent Head (PH) was convincing him to take her offer. IA was hesitant at first and informed PH that he wanted to be assured of viable projects. PH promised she will do everything to meet his expectations. Projects and endorsements are already waiting for IA and a network has expressed interest. For familiarity, PH even hired a staff who knows IA and the business well.
To ensure PH’s confidence in the team, IA offered a cash advance that could not be easily turned down. Together with her business partners, PH raised the offer to IA. IA realized that not only was PH serious in wanting his services, her main business partner was serious as well. IA was so touched that he agreed to the plans of PH for him.

The conversation between Cool Personality (CP) and a network’s Top Executive (TE) turned out to be relatable for both of them. Apparently, the two have something in common. Their partners had affairs.
In the case of CP, she forgave the transgression of Her Husband (HH) for the sake of family. CP appreciated that HH showed remorse and spent the time after forgiveness to reassure her of his love and devotion. Moreover, HH has been understanding when it comes to her work. When CP was offered a project, HH was supportive and encouraged her to go for the job. They talked about her being in lock-in and household matters. HH said he could handle it and the helpers would be his support team. CP seriously considered the offer.
One time, CP accidentally saw a message for HH on his phone. HH was bathing and left his phone without worry. CP realized the sender was familiar and the child in the photo cannot be denied. CP knew about them and had forgiven HH already. She kept quiet and pretended she did not see anything when HH came out of the bath. A few days later, HH told CP about the message and said that the sender only wanted to show him how much the kid has grown. CP cannot deny the resemblance of the kid and HH. Goodness prevailed as CP considered the child innocent. Again, she was chill about what HH said.
However, CP started to wonder why HH was pushing her to work. She could not help but think that HH might be tempted if she’s not around because of work. CP opted to forego the offer and chose her family instead. Hence, TE understood when CP said her family is her priority. CP has her husband under her skin, but TE’s partner left her for another woman.

No Patience for Mediocrity

The production team was shocked when they learned the reasons behind the risky move of Valued Personality (VP). Initially, the team offered to make concessions if the issue pertained to talent fee or work conditions. VP is much too important for the project, but the team realized they cannot move a mountain.
Allegedly, VP knew she might build resentment if she continued with the project. First, VP realized she was unable to work well with Meddlesome Celebrity (MC), who has a significant role. VP noticed that MC bothered with production matters beyond the acting requirements. MC seemed to exude to be better than the director. MC also had an attitude that VP cannot stand. VP would rather have MC focusing on line delivery and acting to lessen the retakes. Second, VP further lamented the cringe acting of the cast except for one lead.
When top management found out about VP, the recommendation was to file a case for breach of contract. However, the production did not agree, as lawsuits evoke negativity. The team said that they will make the necessary changes in the narrative to adjust to losing VP.
