So Cautious

Professional or personal movement will always be associated with high risk. Often, celebrities who decide to change network affiliations, management, or even status are subjected to much discouragement before the decision and doubt once they have signed on the dotted line. These days, practical reasons supersede concerns of fame. When Versatile Talent (VT) realized that she’ll never become a superstar and her former management had been neglecting her, she made the move.

Time passed and the feared backlash did not happen to VT. This time, VT has no worry over financial matters, as the new environment has been beneficial to her. One project after another was worth more than waiting for that one project to bring her to stardom. Moreover, VT maximized her mileage in social media and she was happy with her career. Once in a while, she would post her achievements and love frustrations.

To the shock of VT, Current Boyfriend (CB) actually noticed her loneliness and asked common friends to introduce him to her. Initially, VT thought CB was a joke. He was good-looking, amiable, secure, and educated. CB was the one spending for their dates and once he won her heart, he would see her at home. Such circumstances were different before, as VT would be the one paying for expenses with her former lovers, whom she would meet clandestinely in places outside her home.

Eventually, VT introduced CB to her social media followers and received positive responses. Finally, VT has a partner whom she could flaunt with pride. VT was in love. Soon, CB started emoting. CB informed VT that his father, the breadwinner of his family, lost his job. Thus, VT felt she should be responsible to help CB complete his education and assured him of her help with his school fees. In return, CB was extra sweet.

VT felt CB was comfortable with her and he was not afraid to show in his IG some of their PDA moments. VT was elated as her last known relationship hardly posted anything about the two of them unless needed for publicity. VT was truly being attached. One day, CB asked if he could find work, even just to be a part-time crew of a fastfood. CB said that his family was not living their old lifestyle now that his father was jobless. VT turned down the idea, as CB might become the object of his co-workers’ interest and affection given his looks and charm. VT volunteered to give CB’s family an allowance. Predictably, CB doubled his sweetness and their PDA leveled up. They were now kissing on the lips.

VT asked CB to go with her on an out-of-town trip. Unknown to CB, VT has plans to really level up their relationship. On their first night, CB did not do any intimate moves toward VT, which made her disappointed. On the second night, VT initiated, but CB did not respond according to her expectations. He said he refuses to do anything intimate until they were married.

VT was bothered with CB’s behavior and confided to Her Friend (HF). HF say red flags and told VT to slow down on spending for CB’s needs. VT said that she felt CB is sincere and his family likes her, not knowing that she is the one spending for their needs. Besides, CB has been faithful in fulfilling his boyfriend duties, except for the intimacy.
