One of the highlights of the career of Young Personality (YP) is being introduced to Her Idol (HI), who happens to be famous and a role model for the youth. HI, trusting the one who introduced them, exchanged pleasantries with YP. In turn, YP showered HI with praises and admission that she loves her whole being. Subsequently, YP asked if she can be textmates with HI. HI easily gave out her private number without thinking of the result. Besides, HI trusted the one who introduced them, Showbiz Insider (SI).
The next day, HI was shocked to see a deluge of messages coming from YP. The texts asked if she had coffee, eaten breakfast/lunch, etc. YP even asked about HI’s family, feeling like she’s a family friend. HI politely responded to the messages, but the texts became annoying due to the frequency. Thus, HI asked SI to tell YP to minimize her sending of text messages to HI, as HI has her obligations to take care of.
While that part seemed over, YP was still not over being introduced to HI. Soon, she started imitating the look of HI and thought that what worked for HI’s image would rub off on her star as well. SI immediately noticed that a copycat in the making and put a stop to YP. SI advised YP to be herself and be natural. YP obliged.
Later on, YP alerted her fans that she would be guesting in a show. Thus, they have to be ready with their keyboards. She was indeed successful on social media, but she disappointed the production team, who noticed that she was so ordinary on screen. Truthfully, they found her boring to the point that she did not appeal to the audience. She did not exude that energy that appeals to their audience. Thus, SI was given ideas that YP should be repackaged, as she did not have that quality that would make her rise about other talents.
Incidentally, another network was not too warm on having YP appear in their shows. The network said that their priority is to ensure that their talents have more exposure. Besides, the network has a pool of young talents who look and perform way better than YP. A successful showbiz career is not just about having the looks, possessing talent, or having many followers – a lesson that YP must accept soon. For now, her think tank must carefully evaluate how to chart her path if she really wants to pursue a showbiz career.
