Ruining Justification

Prodigal Talent (PT) approached Influential Insider (II) if he could be given another chance with her network. Allegedly, PT was worried that he could fade into oblivion without the backing of a stable management that can assure him of projects. After all, as breadwinner, he needs to have a strong career to support his family. Competition was getting higher and PT, without the right connections, might not even be hired as an endorser.

II, thinking of potential gains by having PT in her turf, agreed to take him back. After all, PT has a following and with the experimenting strategy these days, PT can be partnered with any leading lady. II welcomed PT with open arms and soon after, his first major project as a returnee was ironed out.

II was all for innovation and fresh start for PT and thus, hired Charming Lady (CL) to be his partner. Getting the services of CL was a dent in the pocket and the high investment has to result in high return of investment. II instructed the staff to come up with a strategy to drum up the team-up of PT and CL. As usual, they had to think of ways to create noise for PT and CL.

Meanwhile, someone was not excited for the PT and CL team in the camp of PT. Saddened by the turn of events was Suffering Woman (SW). SW feared that the PT-CL move would wipe out her partnership with PT. PT had to explain that he needed work and by getting into the fold of the network, he had to follow the rules and play along. He cannot afford to lose possible economic gains.

PT confided to II the predicament of SW, who seemed to be left behind with his move. Besides, SW has no regular projects and lack of work is not good for her professional growth. II told PT that a show can be set for SW.

Things turned unexpectedly when the followers of PT and SW started to overreact to the introduction of CL. SW asked PT what she could do, as their fans were uncontrollable with their reactions in social media. PT said he will take care of everything to pacify the fans. He did and his action placed him in hot water.

One statement in social media made the team of II look like fools. The post, which was not made known to the staff, put a stop to whatever promo the team was planning. Consequently, PT was called to explain why he did what he did. He reasoned out that it was his way to prevent a boycott coming from fans who are supporting him and SW. He was told that his partnership with CL was for a higher market and not just for the people he intended to pacify.

The chain reaction did not end with PT, as II was told by higher management to fix the mess, as the money they were investing in the new move was hefty. Getting CL was not cheap and if the project fails, II will severely be reprimanded.
