Don’t Go

When it comes to women, Talented Actor (TA) seems to be frail with his emotions. TA has had a series of failed relationships with several women. While most people thought that TA could overcome these negative experiences, TA has allegedly admitted that a certain role could be triggering his coping mechanism.

As heartbreaks can take their toll on emotions, TA had done something in the past that cost him his career at that time. With love from family and support from colleagues, TA bounced back. His network was kind enough to give him another chance. He worked hard and his project earned praises and ratings. Moreover, he had a new chance at love. However, his New Love (NL) turned out to be a heartbreaker. NL allegedly hooked up with a younger talent while she and TA were already seriously seeing each other. Worse, word reached him that NL might have a powerful benefactor. Soon, TA and NL denied each other and both ended up frustrated.

Given his project’s success, his management prepared another potential hit for TA. TA had something to look forward to that could distract him from his past bad vibes. What the creative team did not anticipate is that the role of TA had similarities to real life. As taping progressed, TA found himself affected and he could not focus. Memories of previous love interests started to be rekindled and TA could not focus. His long line of lost loves includes Actress 1, who is now happy in a long-term relationship, Actress 2, who has worked with him, but considered another man for her relationship, and NL.

Instead of letting things go out of hand, TA took it upon himself to enter rehab. This decision sent shockwaves to the production, as his role is too major to be simply killed off. If his role is cut, then the story has to have a very major rewrite. TA assured them that if he is needed, he will go out of the center. The production team even thought of having a stand-by medical team during his taping days, as long as he tries his best not to give in to his negative side.

While TA might have done a noble deed to save himself, management had to come up with a hard decision. Apparently, the decision was that in case TA leaves the project, the network will no longer give him another chance. The investment in TA is quite big and the network cannot afford anymore losses on his account.
