Former actress Deborah Sun, her daughter, and two cohorts were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Quezon City early Sunday.
Police arrested Jean Louise Salvador, also known as Deborah Sun, 60; her daughter Angela Salvador, 45; and Gonzalo Gonzales, 49; inside the condominium unit of Gerald de Guzman, 53, a Grab driver, in Barangay E. Rodriguez around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Due Guzman was likewise arrested.
Police Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bilaro, Quezon City Police Station 8 chief, said the buy-bust operation stemmed from a drug sting against De Guzman after lawmen received reports of his illegal drug activity in his condominium unit.
After verifying the report, an undercover police officer transacted with De Guzman inside his unit that led to his arrest.
The former actress and her daughter were allegedly caught in a shabu pot session and were subsequently arrested. Gonzales, who is allegedly involved in illegal drug peddling, was also arrested.
Authorities seized from the group seven sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6,800, some drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Going with Ego

The moment Impatient Celebrity (IC) started showing up late for her taping, the production staff started to realize that she was showing signs of disinterest in the project. IC would come to the taping three hours late, which meant delays in production, as the staff would have to make changes to be able to use the time allotted for her. Thus, senior cast members would have to work for her. The moment she arrives, it was as though nothing happened. No apologies would come from IC.
One time, she insisted on having a tent for hers alone. The production staff said that she needs to share the tent with Network Actress (NA). Besides, IC’s having her own tent meant additional production cost. Her attitude did not stop there. Worse, IC would even say aloud that she wishes for heavy rain when clouds turn dark. Then, she would add that taping would then be packed up. Given her attitude, the production head decided to talk to IC.
During the planning of the project, IC was among the significant people present, as she was among the leads. The project was IC’s first after months of staying off-grid and the network knows that her fans are missing her. The role given to IC was bound to be challenging and during the meeting, IC did not raise any objections when her character development was presented.
After a few days of taping, IC realized that her role meant playing second lead to NA. IC asked the production about her role and the reply was that the flow of the story cannot be changed to suit her. IC was furious given that she had already played bigger roles and has more acting recognitions than NA. Hence, her half-hearted attitude.
IC allegedly said that she was just forced to accept the project and realized that she made the wrong decision as she started taping. Thus, she would rather not be part of the project. Subsequently, IC even said that she does not need sleepless nights and tension caused by taping days, as she has a lot of savings. She bragged about having a potential very secured life if she decides to settle down with her current boyfriend. With that possibility, she can live like royalty, ergo, she can afford to lose the project.
However, there’s a twist. At the end of IC’s litany, she said she was just joking. However, jokes are half-meant. As soon as the bosses heard about IC’s sentiments, they let her be and looked for a replacement who will not give them any attitude problem.
