Leave or Remain

Creative reasons, lack of projects, and better offers are the usual reasons why talents leave their managers. The risk of moving to another talent manager can be high especially if no clear deals have been presented. Moreover, the management community is very tight and sometimes, talents might have a hard time finding projects if he/she decides to strike on his/her own.

Thus, the camp of Daring Actor (DA) decided to leave their present management and work their deals independently. Rumor has it that DA was unhappy with the cut his Former Management (FM) gets from his projects. Instead of the 70%-30% deal, DA wants a higher percentage. Of course, FM did not agree and that could have been a reason why DA left. What’s the 15% for anyway? Allegedly, DA is the breadwinner of his family here and abroad. Thus, every amount matters to sustain their lifestyle.

The story does not end there. Apparently, DA’s camp wants Constant Partner (CP) to leave FM as soon as her contract expires, as managing CP could mean additional income as well. However, DA is hesitant to ask CP to move to his side, as he knows CP is a discovery of FM. However, DA’s camp is adamant and has allegedly told DA to remind CP that he was the reason why she was noticed. Without him, CP would still be a wannabe. In addition, all her projects without him turned out to perform below expectations.

When the camp of DA noticed that DA was really doubtful of the ideal, a plan B was hatched. Perhaps, DA can make CP recall that their relationship started merely as a show for the sake of their careers. However, their relationship blossomed and deepened. So, now the question is if CP will give in for the sake of love for DA or will she be able to separate her professional with her personal life?
