Achieving an Advantage

Out of town projects are inevitable if a talent wants to grow in artistry. A talent who refuses to go beyond his/her literal comfort zone might not be given projects. These days, the trend is to go far from the city and even overseas to shoot a film or a TVC. Some celebrities love traveling perks, while others would prefer to drop out of projects that would require them to be away for many days. However, who worries more is the partner who is left behind.

When Pretty Partner (PP) went out of town for a project with Talented Actor (TA), Smart-Thinking boyfriend (ST) finally saw the loophole he has been desperately searching in their relationship. Someone told ST that PP was spotted entering the room of TA and spending a few hours behind closed doors. The incident happened more than once and during evening.

As PP and TA are friends and co-workers, naturally, a close relationship has developed between the two. However, ST saw that incident as something else. He confronted PP and insinuated she and TA had intimate moments. After all, they were away from their lovers and they could do anything they want. PP was shocked at the malicious claims and reiterated that she and TA only talked. TA confided in her and needed someone to talk to, just like old times. Apparently, TA was having marital problems, but he did not want to break up his family, as it meant distance from his child.

ST did not but PP’s story and insisted the ‘sex’ part. PP was furious and a bad argument ensued. Voices rose and soon, PP allegedly slapped ST. After the unfortunate incident, ST stopped talking to PP. As days passed, their communication dwindled and ST would reply a day or two after receiving a text from PP. He stopped visiting her. When PP would ask how he was, ST would reply that he was swamped with work and his other activities. PP understood and let him be. That, however, was not the exact truth. While PP was at a loss on how to pacify ST, he already had a change of heart, mind, and attraction. He was secretly getting more intimate with Younger Girl (YG).

ST became interested in YG when he found out she was single. Her Boyfriend (HB) called it quits and ST took this status as an excuse to pursue her. For him, PP was already an old story and after their major fight, he dismissed her and moved over to YG. ST even found out why HB initiated the breakup, and that was because of him. HB found out that YG was interested in ST and HB could not continue knowing that YG had shared moments with another man. While HB and YG had a clear breakup, ST did not even formally say goodbye to PP, who had to figure out that she was dumped.
