Glimmer of Appeasement

While the smoke has yet to clear fully, Missing Lover (ML) decided to reach out to Careworn Girlfriend (CG). For several weeks, ML has been ignoring CG’s messages and calls even though they are still in a relationship. Of course, that meant no time was being invested further in their relationship, which was getting hard emotionally on CG. With a relationship muddled with rumors and silence from the other camp, CG had a dilemma. Being ignored caught up with CG, who finally decided to try to communicate with ML at the risk of not getting a response. The experience was bound to be humbling.

What seemed to be an innocent stage of caring for a partner turned out to be the spark that caused CG to fume and lose it. Defying the possibility of getting reprimanded by her management, CG went to social media to release her disappointment at the alleged lying of ML, which was to pretend he was sick, only to be photographed with Controversial Talent (CT) at a friend’s party.

Several posts later, hundreds of comments from netizens, left and right clicks on ‘like’, and pledging allegiance and support to either CG or CT, as well as peripheral celebrities attempting to get into the fray, the management has not attempted to do any news blackout. Thus, media had a field day covering the events that followed.

While the public could only see items that were liked or quotes that were posted in social media, quietly, the management was doing its own actions to salvage the situation. Allegedly, ML was given a warning to fix his mess or else. He was reminded that his actions could affect his coming projects and if they flop, repercussions on his career could be immeasurable. Over the years, ML has already broken several hearts of female talents and after each breakup, he had to rebuild his career, as he already had incurred a negative impression. Management had also warned him then. Apparently, he has never learned.

Hence, ML attempted to communicate with CG to clear matters and perhaps, pick up whatever could be saved from their relationship, and of course, his career. As to the reaction of CG, followers can only wait for another statement or post.
