Gerald Anderson finally broke his silence about his relationship with Bea Alonzo after it was reported that the actress unfollowed him and deleted all their photos together on social media.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Friday, Anderson admitted that he and Alonzo had a "simple misunderstanding."
"It was a simple misunderstanding. Naayos po namin personally and 'yun po 'yung imporante, to move on from this," he said.
Anderson also answered for Pia Wurtzbach when the former Miss Universe titleholder was asked to comment on the matter.
"It was a misunderstanding. 'Yun na 'yun. Ang importante, everything is good. Everything is good," the actor said.
It is noteworthy that aside from Anderson, Alonzo also unfollowed Wurtzbach on social media. She also deleted the photo of the "My Perfect You" poster when she previously helped promote the film.
"Pia has been nothing but sobrang professional and sobrang sarap kasama. Sa first lead niya, first day pa lang, napabilib na ako sa kanya. We are just happy with the outcome. Sa personal life naman namin, okay na okay," Anderson said.
Echoing her leading man, Wurtzbach said her relationship with racecar driver Marlon Stockinger is also doing well.
"Yes, yes of course," said the beauty queen, who recently organized a surprise birthday party for her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Anderson and Wurtzbach are elated that "My Perfect You" has already earned P136 million worldwide.
Now on its fourth week, the movie is still screening in over 100 theaters in the Philippines.
"Even over Holy Week, ang saya kasi ang dami pa ring nanonood. Ang ganda ng mga reactions, ng comments nila. Nakakataba ng puso. We are happy kasi siyempre pinaghirapan namin lahat 'yan," Anderson said.
Wurtzbach, for her part, said: "Masaya na ako. Okay na ako. Ito lang naman ang gusto ko, alam naman ng lahat, na magkaroon ng movie with Star Cinema and na magustuhan ng mga tao 'yung story and for the movie also to do well. Since all of that is happening, okay na ako."
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "My Perfect You" centers on Burn (Anderson), a broken-hearted man looking to start over, and Abi (Wurtzbach), a hostel owner whom he meets while on vacation.
While the teaser showed Burn exasperated by the ubiquitous and overbearing Abi, it also offers a glimpse of the two finally getting along and eventually falling in love.
Their chemistry, it appears, will be sprinkled with humor, thanks to the combination of Abi's boisterous personality and Burn's pensive, brooding mood.
"My Perfect You" is not only the first time Wurtzbach and Anderson are paired onscreen, it's also their first time working with Garcia-Molina, regarded as a box-office-hit director known for her relatable takes on rom-coms.

A crisis that drawing attention is mental health. With pressures getting heavier from life problems, people have to find ways to keep sane or not be broken. Celebrities are top candidates for mental health issues and stories of sadness in the private lives of entertainers are common. While there is bad news on victims of mental health, there is good news, as celebrities have come out to address the issue.
Sometimes, celebrities reveal much of themselves in their social media posts to the point that netizens judge them based on a single post. By revealing a significant event in social media, a celebrity opens up to praises and criticisms as well as baseless comments. These reactions can lead to ill-feelings and even depression on the part of celebrities.
Family problems can lead to issues as well. For instance, Mental Health advocate (MH) is a single parent, whose Former Husband (FH) allegedly has given very minimal support per her statements. MH would once in a while post about her issues with FH and gain sympathy from her followers. Thus, MH has financial problems compounded by a struggling career.
One day, a program approached MH if she could share her insights on mental health. The offer was tempting, as the program was willing to give a reasonable honorarium. It was quick money for a few short minutes. MH agreed and she was given respect for her insights in the program.
Unfortunately, her home network saw the show. After giving her a project, MH was waiting for the promise of a bigger project that would suit her. While waiting, the program was offered to her and for someone who needs finances, she had to take advantage. The home network would not let go of that seeming breach of loyalty. When MH asked about the promise, powerful insider said talks will happen with the management. However, the promise is taking too long, just because MH had an oversight.
