Just Crude

Usually, when a private home owner is offered a deal for the use of his/her premises as a location for a movie or a teleserye, excitement comes ahead. Who would not be ecstatic if celebrities would be entering one’s home and the home can be seen all over the country or even the world? For authenticity, location managers do their best to scout for that best site for their project. Lucky are they who can strike deals.

When a Private Home Owner (PO) agreed to have the family home as a site for scenes of the project of Upcoming Actor (UA), little did they know that the taping would be a nightmare. Shootings or tapings involve more people, comprising stars, production crew, caterers, and others, than one would expect. Hence, more than a dozen persons would be coming in and out of the allowable areas of the location. Nonetheless, production people are very careful when doing their tasks on location, as they know that any damage would be extra cost for their team. In other words, production people are professionals and aware of taking care of the site.

Unfortunately, that professionalism cannot be said for UA. UA, who is seen as the next breakthrough actor of a network, behaved unexplainably while he was on location for a project. The scene was in an interior location, and UA stayed in the living room and sat on a light-colored sofa. The production maintained the look of the original sofa and did not bother to change the cover. When breaktime came, UA stood up but instead of circling around the sofa for his exit, he stepped on the couch with his dusty rubber shoes. Hence, shoeprints were all over the sofa, marking his steps.

PO was horrified at seeing what UA did and the shoeprints that were left on the couch. PO did not realized UA was capable of such uncouth behavior, as he was an adult and should know how to move around a house that is not his pad. PO was too stunned, as earlier, PO witnessed the way UA gave orders to the crew. It was like UA was acting like a big star and that he should be given importance by everyone in the production.
