Cannot Cope with Pressure

People can get cranky when tasks pile up and things do not go the way as planned. When All-Around personality (AA) decided to centralize most of his tasks, people noticed the change in his attitude. AA has been praised for his positive disposition and immeasurable dedication to his craft. When AA was starting out, he was amiable and cooperative, which made him among the favorites on non-mainstream directors.

Gaining experience, AA got his break and eventually applied his acquired knowledge in various projects. These projects tested his various talents, such as eye for details, production management, and story-telling. AA persevered until he gained more followers and endeared himself to hordes of fans. More importantly, he kept his pace of work and reaped rewards for his effort.

Over the years, AA gained the respect in which no one questions what he wants to do. Thus, AA decided to control most aspects of the production. As one person, he tried to do the job of various individuals. Any one who has done work in a movie or in a teleserye would know that multi-tasking is quite difficult and would need much patience in dealing with the production.

When AA decided to work on multiple projects, it was only a matter of time that change would happen, especially when a deadline was up and pressure to get on top were hovering around him. Thus, AA would have moods while on the set. For instance, AA would allegedly be irked at production staff who could not get what he wanted. While hot heads are common on the set, the production was shocked when AA lost his cool at Veteran Thespian (VT),

One should understand that VT is among the most coveted season actors and throughout his career, he has gained respected from the younger generation. People marvel at his staying power, and naturally, given his age and reputation, respect should be accorded to him. However, that was not the case. In one scene, AA fumed at VT, as the latter could not seem to follow what the former wanted in a scene. After the second take, AA blurted that VT was already old and still could not understand his instruction. The microphone was on and everyone stopped at hearing AA’s angry voice reprimanding VT.

When AA realized what he had done, which was a major showing of disrespect for an elder and in this case, a highly acclaimed actor, he apologized profusely and told the staff to forget what transpired. AA was very apologetic to VT. To make amends, AA allegedly gifted VT with a car the following day.

Sadly, even his love life has been affected by the pressure from work. Before, AA would be protective and jealous, but changed his attitude toward Pretty Celebrity (PC). Now, he lets things gloss over and with PC in a project, AA seems to be cool about her leading men.

Incidentally, AA failed at his goal of winning the silent competition despite his multi-tasking effort. Perhaps, things turned out the way they did to show him new lessons about learning to share tasks and delegating important artistic decisions to others as well.
