When a network was looking for a new face, several newbies auditioned and the production team had to contact various sources to look for the actor whom they felt is the right one for the role. After months of searching, the network announced that a newbie is The One (TO).
TO seemed fit for the role. He had the built, height, looks, and style. He seemed to click with his co-stars as well. The network chose him and it knew that they were bound to invest to make TO a household name for the sake of his project.
As TO is a newbie, he had to be trained, but between the training and the actual taping, time was too short. Everyone realized TO was raw, but had potential. In the same breath, experts knew that time is needed to develop acting skills and a certain charisma with the audience.
While everything looked find in front of the camera, TO was not exactly a pleasant co-worker. As he has been used to certain ways in his field, his attitude seems to be counterproductive in pursuing his break. Allegedly, TO was quite vain and choosy, which turned off people. In addition, TO exuded certain arrogance, which made the perception that he thinks too highly of himself while on the set. Besides, his partner was often around the taping and this situation adds discomfort, as TO would, of course, think of her even while in character. Rumors have it that the girlfriend wanted to make sure that TO will not fall for Lead Actress (LA) and vice versa.
After months of taping, the network completed the project within the agreed time. While LA is moving on to various projects, TO’s future looks bleak. No follow up project has been floated, and the grapevine says that TO just did not have the acting skills and all he could capitalize on was his looks. The industry and his network need more than a cute face.
