Please Move Away

Obedient Actor (OA) is in a quandary these days. All he did was to follow the lead for the sake of the getting the audience fired up, but the consequences might put him in trouble with Another Girl (AG). It’s not really his fault, but Desperate Talent (DT) seems to have over-interpreted his actions.

As OA and DT belong to a network that believes in using loveteams as an easy way to gain fame, questions on crushes and wishes for leading men and women are always asked from newbies. If the audience likes the pairing, the network gives the two partners a chance to show what they have in various projects.

In the case of DT, as a newbie with no strong connections in the industry, getting a big break can mean a great change for her family. With no financial wall to bank on, DT is counting on her career to give her family a better life. Hence, she will do anything to make sure she gets on the good side of fans.

During an event, DT was asked who she had a crush on. She was supposed to say the name of the Estranged Son (ES) of an actor. After all, ES became known because of his parents and is now proving that he deserves a slot in the industry. However, DT knew that ES already had a loveteam and if she says she has a crush on him, she will surely have to deal with bashers and supporters of the reel girlfriend of ES. Therefore, DT said the name of another actor’s son and this was OA.

As someone who has seen how the network operates, OA knew that it essential for him to go with the flow. OA then responded to DT, and the audience was ecstatic. OA would often be nice to DT, who then started believing that OA was interested in her. That was not the case, as OA has his eyes on AG and every time he reciprocates the moves of OA on air, he was just following instructions and he knew that it all for show.

Things escalated when DT said that OA was courting her, which worried OA, as AG might accuse him of being a two-timer. The claim of DT is false after all, as she is not the type of OA. Still, DT exerts effort to be closer to OA. Unfortunately, he is quickly trying to move away, which has gotten DT really anxious. If OA refuses to pair off with DT, then she has no choice, as OA is far more famous that she is.
