Not Really Their Fault

Recently, a project’s end was met with a heavy heart, rather, a huge disappointment. While a big and spectacular was expected for the finale, the last episode was way below expectations. Usually, the final episode is usually given extraordinary treatment to make an imprint in the minds of the audience. This time, the last episodes were typical, which made Significant People (SP) close to Gorgeous Talent (GT) and Appealing Actress (AA) feel they were shortchanged.
SP has been closely following the development of the careers of GT and AA, as they are able to command a following, and thus, are good investments for positive returns. Together, their projects have been successful in terms of box-office draw, ratings, and fans. However, their last project performed way below expectations.
While several factors could be cited for the poor showing, SP blames The Production (TP) for seeming lack of support and the lackluster results. For example, the storyline might not be the one their followers want. As a result of the theme, TP had no choice but to move the showing to a later time. Even though the viewing time was adjusted, loyal fans still tried to catch the show. However, the ratings were another story, as well as the controversies that hounded the program. Thus, the fear that GT and AA might lose their winning streak worried SP. Meanwhile, not much could have been done, as the project was also working on a limited budget. The chicken-and-egg game was strong then, that is, the limited budget prevented the show from coming up with spectacular endings, but the limited budget stemmed from the fact that the show was performing below expectations. Poor ratings mean few advertisers, by the way. Thus, SP and TP could only point fingers at each other for the outcome.
