A Grave Misbehavior

Sacrifices have to be made whenever one chooses job advancement over the status quo of a relationship. When Media Personality (MP) agreed to her new assignment, her decision was made with the confidence that her Long-time Boyfriend (LB) would understand their new setup. After all, LB would also be busy with his career, where he is considered in high standing. With both of them honing their careers, the chances of looking for others seemed nil.

While MP might not be as famous as her contemporaries in her network, her name has recall and is familiar with viewers. MP belongs to the elite few who have remained loyal to their network. Good work is always rewarded, and her station knows how to please its loyal employees. In the case of MP, she was valued by her network, and she was given a new assignment. However, this reward has resulted in a long-distance relationship. LB, meanwhile, could not just drop everything to be with MP, as he is quite valuable for his company. Controversial at times, LB is known to excel in his career, which is rarely in the beat of MP. The two of them seemed to be meant for each other given the length of their relationship.

However, the cliché goes, ‘when the cat is away, the mouse will play,’ and the inevitable happened. With MP far away, LB’s eyes strayed and caught the eye of Fanciful Stylist (FS). The two clicked, and thus, LB started spending time with FS. Unfortunately, for LB, MP’s intuition was stronger, as she realized something does not seem right.

Using her skills, MP confirmed her greatest fear, which is the betrayal of a partner. MP found out that LB has been having sleepovers with FS. A man and a woman in a pad would of course lead to one thing after another. Hence, MP confronted LB and a huge fight between the two happened just before the years changed.

MP opted to break away and leave, rather than give LB another chance. Apparently, her relocation has revealed the weakness in their relationship. Despite the length of time being together, LB opted to give in to temptation instead of nurturing his steady relationship with MP. As trust is a major issue in a relationship, MP opted to end what they had, instead of remaining in one where every move would be clouded in doubt.
